With over 30 years of dedicated yoga practice and teaching, I've embarked on a transformative journey that has taken me across the globe, studying with master teachers and assisting at Yoga Journal conferences and workshops worldwide. I've had the privilege of sharing my passion for yoga with over 10,000 hours of teaching, and I remain committed to empowering others to harness the profound healing potential of yoga.
My background in fitness, including training in American Kempo and Tae Kwon Do, long-distance running, powerlifting, and teaching spin, has given me a unique understanding of the importance of balance and holistic well-being. While these experiences built tremendous strength, they also presented challenges that ultimately led me to discover the transformative power of yoga.
After completing my 500-hour certification, I dedicated myself fully to the study and teaching of yoga as a holistic system of healing. I've had the honor of training extensively with renowned teachers such as Ana Forrest, Baron Baptiste, Seane Corn, Brian Kest, and Tias Little. My work with Ana Forrest blossomed into a deep mentorship, leading me to assist and manage her trainings worldwide.
My journey has taken me to diverse locations across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America, teaching foundational principles, leading advanced teacher trainings, and introducing teachers and students to therapeutic, breath-centered practices. From Korea and Singapore to South Africa, Cape Town, Berlin, Amsterdam, Italy, Alaska, and beyond, each place has broadened my understanding of the transformative power of breath, alignment, and mindful movement.
Drawing from these experiences, I've developed a unique approach to yoga that always begins with pranayama – awakening life force, calming the mind, and preparing the body to heal. My classes blend strength, discipline, and deep internal body awareness, supported by the Slo-Flo Method: a therapeutic system of alignment, breath work, and slow mindful movement. This method has been instrumental in my own healing journey, and I'm passionate about empowering students to restore balance, reclaim mobility, and cultivate lasting resilience.
My teaching is dedicated to promoting longevity and well-being, emphasizing deep stretching, improved circulation, sustainable flexibility, and tools for lifelong strength and healing. This is yoga with purpose: grounded in breath, rooted in body awareness, and guided by decades of global exploration and discovery.
