I don't often use toxic cleaners in my home. My go to cleaners these days are vinegar, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. According to the latest CDC update, so far this season there have been at least 34 million flu illnesses, 350,000 hospitalizations and 20,000 deaths from flu. Unlike the newest feared Coronavirus which seems to be mild in children and generally healthy people, the flu has claimed the lives of 136 children this year, the highest number in 15 years with the exception of the '2009 H1N1 pandemic.' Both the flu and Coronavirus are most likely to be severe in the elderly and chronically ill. So, while everyone is freaking out about the Coronavirus, the biggest threat this year may actually still be the flu! No matter what illness you are trying to avoid, there are 3 important steps to keep in mind: 1) Live a healthy lifestyle to support a healthy immune system, 2) wash your hands regularly and well with soap and water and 3) stay home if you are sick/steer clear of others who are sick to minimize the spread of germs. Nothing new here!
