Today marks the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year and a time when many herbs are at their peak; full of vitality, energy, and medicinal strength.

A few herbs that thrive in this sunlight-rich season:

🌼 St. John’s Wort – Traditionally harvested around the solstice, it's used to support mood, nerve health, and recovery from minor injuries.

🌿 Calendula – Known for its bright orange blooms and skin-soothing properties, calendula is often infused into oils and salves.

🌱 Yarrow – Valued for its astringent and wound-healing abilities, yarrow is a go-to for cuts, scrapes, and first-aid blends.

This is a great time to gather and prepare herbs that prefer long, warm days and strong sunlight.

Anyone else struggling to focus this morning after the long weekend?

When I need a gentle nudge to clear the fog and get moving, I turn to my favorite stimulating herbs. Cacao and green tea are two of the best brain-boosters out there. They gently energize without the jitters of strong coffee, and they’re packed with antioxidants that support cognitive health.

So, while I try to remember how to type again, I’m off to make a big cup of green tea and give my brain the boost it needs.

Homemade Elderberry Syrup Available Now

This batch of elderberry syrup was made with a blend of herbs traditionally used to support overall well-being, especially during seasonal changes. Along with elderberries, it includes:

🌿 Mullein – Often used to help maintain clear, comfortable breathing
🌿 Nettle – A nutrient-rich herb that provides gentle, daily support
🌿 Rose Hips – Naturally high in vitamin C, offering an extra boost
🌿 Echinacea Root – Traditionally used to support the body’s natural defenses
🌿 Ginger Root – Warming and soothing, perfect for chilly days

It has a rich, slightly spiced flavor that’s great by the spoonful, in tea, or mixed into drinks.

For those who prefer to make their own, I also have elderberry syrup dry mixes available—just simmer, strain, add honey, and enjoy!
