Balance doesn’t have to be complicated.
In feng shui, our homes feel best when the five natural elements are present. These elements mirror nature and help energy flow more harmoniously through a space.
You don’t need to redesign your house to invite them in. Often, the smallest details already do the work.
Here’s an easy way to think about them:
🌿 Wood – plants, fresh flowers, wooden furniture
Represents growth and new beginnings.
🔥 Fire – candles, warm lighting, sunlight
Brings warmth, inspiration, and vitality.
🌍 Earth – crystals, pottery, stone, clay
Creates grounding and stability.
⚙️ Metal – metal bowls, frames, bells, wind chimes
Supports clarity and focus.
💧 Water – mirrors, flowing shapes, fountains, water imagery
Encourages ease, flow, and opportunities.
Each area of your home (called a gua) resonates with certain elements that support the energy of that space. But the beautiful part is this:
You’re probably already working with these elements without realizing it.
A cozy lamp.
A plant trailing over a shelf.
A favorite mug of tea.
A crystal that simply feels good to have nearby.
Small touches. Big shifts in how a space feels.
Balance is less about perfection and more about creating a home that supports you.
If you’re curious, I’ll be sharing more about how the elements interact with the different areas of your home in upcoming posts.

Friday the 13th has a reputation for being unlucky…
But historically, 13 was considered a sacred number.
There are 13 lunar cycles in a year.
Many women experience 13 cycles annually as well.
For centuries, the number 13 represented the rhythms of nature, the feminine, and the cycle of renewal.
Somewhere along the way, that story changed.
Today on Substack I’m sharing why I see Friday the 13th as something very different —
a quiet reminder to return to balance and natural rhythms.

Your home absorbs more energy than you think.
Stress. Conversations. Emotions. Even outside environmental noise.
In classical feng shui, one of the simplest ways to reset the energy of a space is called a Salt Water Cure — a small but powerful remedy used to absorb stagnant or heavy energy in the home.
Today on Substack I’m sharing:
• What a salt water cure is
• How to make one
• Where to place it
• How it helps restore balance in your home
It’s one of the easiest ways to begin shifting the energy of your space.

Over the past year, I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting about the direction of my work.
For a long time I talked about wellness. But the more I sat with it, the more I realized that what truly matters to me isn’t chasing wellness… it’s creating balance.
Balance in our homes.
Balance in our environment.
Balance in how we move through life.
Our spaces influence our energy more than we often realize. The way our homes flow, the products we bring into them, and the rhythms we create in our daily lives all shape how supported we feel.
That realization led me to create The Balanced Living Method — a framework centered around restoring balance through feng shui, thoughtful living, and creating non-toxic homes.
I’ve started writing about this journey over on Substack, where I’ll be sharing reflections, practices, and ideas for creating homes and lives that support who we are and who we’re becoming.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to have you there.

Winter is the time for slowing down, connecting with yourself, nature, and the things you care about the most.
Spending the weekends catching up with girlfriends, chatting over tea and bumpy cake, snowshoeing along Lake Michigan… it’s what dreams are made of.
Our phones were away most of the time as we caught up which means less pictures but more time truly connecting.
This was the recharge my soul needed.

Allow me to reintroduce myself🙋‍♀️

Hi, I’m Lindsay ✨
And I help women come back home to themselves.
I’m an Embodiment Coach, which is a fancy way of saying:
I help women who’ve been holding it all together for a very long time finally feel themselves again.
If you’re successful on paper but tired in your bones…
If your mind is always “on” but your body feels ignored…
If you’ve tried doing all the right things and still feel a little disconnected from yourself…
You’re not broken.
You’re just out of rhythm.
My work is about slowing down enough to listen — to your body, your intuition, your nervous system — and learning how to live from there instead of pushing through.
No fixing.
No pressure.
No “be more disciplined.”
Just practical, soulful support to help you:
✨ regulate your nervous system
✨ rebuild trust with your body
✨ create balance that actually lasts
If you’re curious about working together, the best place to start is a Wellness Audit — a gentle, supportive conversation where we look at where you are, what you’re carrying, and what kind of support would feel most nourishing right now.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to be willing to begin.
💛 Book your Wellness Audit through the link in my bio.
I’d love to meet you there

Why is it so important to go on dates? For connection.

You can date your partner, yourself, your best friends, your kiddos… dates don’t have to be romantic, their main purpose is connection and growth.

While you are on your journey to reconnect with yourself-whether it be after loss, divorce, burnout, you name it- take the time to connect again with those who mean the most to you, especially you.
❤️

I am so excited to bring classical Feng Shui, a practice that’s over 3000 years old you all by the end of February, beginning of March. I’ve been studying with since November, and am so excited to help you balance the flow of energy in your home and everyday life through this practice.

As an embodiment coach, I help women reclaim balance in life and come back to themselves through my 4 pillar method of balanced living. Using wellness, self-care, personal development and relationships as the base for my coaching practice, women reclaim their truest essence, the parts of themselves who were always there, but got a little lost along the way.
Reclaiming the balance of energy in your home deepens this practice, and brightens every corner of your home and life on a daily basis. I’m so incredibly proud of this work, and grateful to Nixie for teaching me this wisdom.

I worked really hard to get this one!
Over the past 3 years, I have been slowly building my connections, adding certifications, and hours of knowledge and practice to my portfolio: Breathwork, YTT, nutrition.
Its all starting to come together.
Now I can take some time and put it all together and will be sharing new offerings soon!
