I often hear, “I feel stuck”. This prompts me to start digging for a few things. One is grief.
Grief is a response to a loss or separation.
This could be loss of a dream, expectation, hope with an expired timeframe. You thought “IT” would happen by now. You had an “appointed” time and now experience a “disappointment”. You have become separated from your Self-esteem.
There’s a shift in your relationship with yourself because how you see yourself has changed. Yes, the feeling of low self-esteem.
This process of grieving is not linear but full of responses that feel like shock, denial, protesting, bargaining, and anger. Oh, the many expressions of anger!

BUT when you can identify that you are grieving you begin to move into understanding, coping, managing, and I love this part, REDESIGNING.
Explore your childhood dreams. Remember those conversations of “when I get older I’m going to…”. Explore the “I will never’s” that you’re actually doing.
The relationship you have with disappointment is so heavy when you’re grieving. It can bully you into adversely using self-preservation so you never move. Stuck!
Self awareness is essential to getting unstuck. If this is you acknowledge the “feeling” for it served its purpose. It reminded you to dream a new dream, or redesign an old one.
