In the upcoming months, the spotlight is on mental health awareness. September is recognized as National Su***de Prevention Month, while October begins with Mental Illness Awareness Week, followed by World Mental Health Day on October 10th. These events highlight the importance of mental well-being, challenging stigmas, and providing support & resources to those in need. These moments of observance promote mental health awareness, offer mutual support, and remind us to check in on both ourselves and others.
The American Foundation for Su***de Prevention holds Out of the Darkness walks in country-wide communities to bring focus to these important reminders, provide education, advocate, continue research, and give hope. In support of this, Matone will be participating in the Asheville (October 25th) and Charlotte (November 1st) walks as teams! This includes fundraising for AFSP's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by su***de.
If you would like to donate to this cause, please use this link: https://afspwalks.donordrive.com/participant/Matone. This will be for the Asheville location but don't worry! Charlotte's will be coming soon.
Please support the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention to help save lives and bring hope to those affected by su***de. Donate or register to walk!
