Hi you guys! Welcome! My name's Shanice and I'm the founder and sole massage therapist of Divine Journey's. I created this company to offer holistic ways of healing to all who decide to walk this journey with me.
How I started on this path is a funny interesting story (at least to me š
). Long story short I was working in a spa as front desk and was dreaming of becoming a health coach. I found out that *technically* at that time I had to be a registered dietician to practice that in NC. I didn't want to commit the time and money to attend a school that taught things I didn't fully agree with so I went into reflection on what would allow me to learn more about our bodies, minds and souls in a way that felt right for me. I went through SO many ideas and then one day I looked around at all the massage therapist around me - at my job - and I had a full-on light bulb moment of BECOME A MASSAGE THERAPIST. I finally got a full-bodied YES and immediately enrolled into school at Southeastern Institute here in Charlotte, NC. That's where I truly fell in love with the art of massage therapy, and I haven't looked back sense.
For the past 3 years now, Iāve worked at few spas as a massage therapist and have accumulated over 3000 hours of hands-on experience and Iām still as in love with it as I was on day one of school.
At Divine Journeyās we offer many modalities such as Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Stretching, Swedish, Myofascial Release and others! ALL modalities are incorporated in 2 of 3 of the services at no extra cost to you so you would never have to decide which you would need. We create customized treatment plans for YOUR individual body.
Iāve come to specialize in neck, back, and shoulders because that was my problem areas and the same for most of my clients. Iāve come to learn some of the best techniques and have been told by many that I reach and release areas that theyāve never been able to release before. Iāve also been told how intuitive and connected my massages are and thatās what I aim for and LOVE the most.
