Turmeric and curcumin get a lot of talk in the natural world but what about the conventional one?
With multiple studies just like this one and overall conclusive of positive benefits, why isn’t curcumin prescribed by the primary care, cardiologists, or endocrinologists?
Why isn’t it covered by insurance as a first line therapy?
The results are ALL over the scientific literature and while some study designs vary in outcomes (some show BP changes others done, some show lower A1c and others don’t) - this is because of varying study design and who’s involved (diabetics, ages etc)
But as a net conclusion- TONS of widely distributed benefits to curcumin supplementation
Sooo what’s up companies? Why aren’t we covering this yet? Why not other natural supports as well?
Afraid won’t be happy with less lisinopril, metformin, GLP1, and other med needs?
And again, most of these studies are down without any diet/lifestyle changes 🤯
Imagine the compounding impact!!!
American health care WHAT ARE WE DOING?!
Missing out on some seriously positive patient outcomes if we could all just integrate or efforts
Supplementation note - Quality matters not just for safety of what else is in the capsule, but also for ensuring % or concentration of curcuminoids vs regular turmeric extract (cheaper). Cost matters. The cheapest products are usually the least concentrated with the parts that make the difference, and not 3rd party tested for quality.
