Meet Samantha Weinstein, PA-C 👋

Originally from Northern Delaware, Samantha brings a strong foundation in neuroscience and a genuine passion for patient care to CNSA. What began as a role as a CNA quickly turned into a calling, helping people through vulnerable moments with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

Samantha takes a collaborative, patient-first approach, focused on truly listening, clearly explaining options, and building treatment plans that improve both outcomes and quality of life.

What stood out most to her about CNSA? The teamwork. The communication. The shared commitment to doing what’s best for every patient.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Samantha playing pickleball, trying a new recipe, cheering on Philly sports, or dreaming about getting a puppy 🐶

Some moments remind us why this work matters in the deepest way.

This Doctor’s Day, our teams didn’t just celebrate with snacks and decorations (though those were well deserved). They took time to write notes, share gratitude, and recognize the people who show up every day to care for others.

Because behind every great physician is not just skill, but heart.
The long days. The hard decisions. The quiet moments of compassion that patients never forget.

And sometimes, the impact reaches even further.

From inspiring the next generation through hands-on shadowing experiences… to creating spaces where gratitude is felt and shared… this is what it means to invest in both today and tomorrow.

To our doctors, thank you for the lives you change, the hope you give, and the example you set every single day.

Happy Doctor’s Day 🤍

We’re excited to welcome Taya to the Carolina NeuroSurgery & Spine Associates team!

Taya joins us as a Physician Assistant with a passion for building meaningful patient relationships and making an impact early in each patient’s care journey. As she begins her career in neurosurgery, she’s eager to grow through hands-on experience and mentorship while helping patients improve their long-term health and quality of life.

Her path to healthcare is deeply personal. After her older sister was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at a young age, Taya was inspired by the care her family received and knew she wanted to provide that same level of compassion and support to others.

Taya brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to care, grounded in empathy, kindness, and attention to detail. She encourages patients to stay engaged in their health by asking questions, staying informed, and communicating openly.

Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Taya studied Biology at the University of Kentucky and earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Sullivan University. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, spending time with family, and staying involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, now continuing her efforts here in the Charlotte community.

We’re so excited to have you on the team, Taya!

During , we’re highlighting stories that remind us why advancing neurological care matters.

At just nine years old, Gavin was diagnosed with a brain tumor that caused seizures and brought fear and uncertainty to his family. With courage, expert care, and the support of those around him, Gavin fought through treatment and recovery.

Today, Gavin is thriving! He’s using his story to raise awareness for epilepsy and brain tumor research and to remind other families that they are not alone.

At CNSA, we partner closely with to provide coordinated care for pediatric patients from diagnosis through recovery and beyond!

Robotic and minimally invasive spine surgery can be powerful tools, but they are not one size fits all.

As neurosurgeon, Dr. Joseph Withrow, MD, explains, the right approach depends on your condition, your symptoms, and your goals. The most important step is having an open, informed conversation with a specialist who can guide you toward the best option for your specific needs.

You deserve a personalized plan, not a blanket answer.
