At this year’s Headed for Hope 5K, the final stretch has special meaning. As you turn off Kings Drive, you’ll face Greco Hill, dedicated to the memory of Greco Roman Bouzakis, son of CNSA’s CEO, Troy Bouzakis.

Greco was just 5 when he passed away after a courageous battle with brain cancer. His siblings still wrestle for him—Nic with his Greco beanie at Ohio State, Vince with Team Greco headgear at Pitt, and Jaclyn with his old shoes when she earned bronze at the U17 World Championships.

On race day, Team Greco will be there to cheer you on. When you register, you can join the team or donate in his honor. Every step forward carries Greco’s light.

Emma is one of our brave ambassadors for our Headed for Hope 5K! Her participation is more than symbolic; it’s a commitment to making sure other families aren’t alone in their fight.

🌟 Emma’s Story:

At just three years old, Emma faced a life-threatening challenge no parent could ever be prepared for.

It began with subtle changes in her mobility. Emma, once an energetic and playful child, started having trouble lifting her right leg and walking normally. At first, it seemed like a minor orthopedic issue, but her condition began to worsen rapidly.

Emma underwent a scan that revealed a Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma (JPA) tumor. Her journey was filled with ups and downs. But in every setback, there was a sign of hope. Emma’s strength, matched by her medical team and her family’s unwavering love, became the cornerstone of her recovery.

Join us at our Headed for Hope 5K on Saturday, September 13th to hear more about Emma’s story, or click the link in our bio to read more on our blog.
