Happy ...continued!

🎊 Today we'd like to introduce you to three of our Gastonia location beloved nurses.

💟 Jay | He's been part of our team for 10 years and says that he loves his work here here in being part of changing the trajectory of his patients' outcomes in life. 📸 1

💟 Abbie | She's been on our team for 2 years and says that the Gastonia team is one of a kind. "We all pitch in and help each other." 📸 2

💟 Rebecca | She's been with McLeod for 18 years and says that she likes helping people and meeting them where they are. 📸 3

🫶 Both Jay and Rebecca help fill in with our Residential Program in Charlotte as needed. The entire Gastonia team has a spirit of true compassion for patients and putting their heart into their work and it shows!

💟 If you're looking to for a rewarding role as a nurse, we have several openings on our teams in some of our 8 locations and would love for you to consider applying. Link in bio.

If someone you love is struggling with Substance Use Disorder, our bi-monthly Family Group Support is for you!

Do you find yourself tracking your loved one’s location?
Are you in a constant state of worry?
Do you feel isolated and alone because you feel like no one will understand or judge you?
Are you asking yourself what could you have done differently?
Are you blaming yourself for justifying your loved ones use as a “phase”?

🤝 Led by our Family & Alumni Coordinator, Dakeita Staton, M.eD, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHC-A), Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCAS-A).

🫶You do not need to have a patient or loved one in treatment at McLeod to be part of this group that we are offering to support the community.

🗓️ Join us the 2nd & 4th Wednesday evenings of the month at 6:30pm for resources, community, learning and the reminder that you are not alone in this. Charlotte location only but please DM should you be interested in future possible virtual gatherings. May's group dates are May 13 & 27.

💚May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

McLeod Centers offers short-term (adults), long-term (adults), and intensive outpatient (adolescents & adults) treatment.

Individuals enrolled in these programs receive an education on substance use and therapeutic group counseling, in addition to individual treatment planning, urinalysis testing, and referrals to community resources as needed.

We offer bimonthly family group support meetings for individuals with loved ones with substance use disorder. This is open to the community whether or not the loved one is a patient at our clinics.

Our team is well acquainted with the fact that substance use is often associated with the following common co-occurring disorders:

Depression
Anxiety
Bipolar disorder
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
Eating disorders
Personality disorders
Schizophrenia

💚Our counselors are trained to holistically treat each and every patient with trauma-informed care.

See link in bio for our services and more details.

Our team has returned from in Denver with a renewed sense of passion for substance use disorder recovery care!

The National Council for Mental Wellbeing Conference is the largest conference in mental health and substance use care, providing networking, training, and innovation for professionals in the field.

Our Clinical Director, Jessica Owen, was a presenter and panelist for the Digital Solutions for Treatment Transitions and Long-term Recovery Support session along with representatives from Valley Hope and YourPath.

We are continually growing, learning and collaborating as a team so that we can better serve our patients, communities and staff.

We are grateful for the invitation from to be part of host Jana Angel’s Gaston County Opioid Action Day Segment.

Christine Zazzaro, CEO of McLeod, discusses our brand new mobile unit (just arrived 2 weeks ago) making care more accessible to communities who need it most. This is one of the only MOUD (medications for opioid use disorder) mobile units of its kind in our area.

Stay tuned for more insight on our work not only in but throughout the state! We are planning a ribbon cutting ceremony for our mobile unit so keep following for more details.
