Our drink station got a much needed upgrade this weekend ✨☕️

Next time you’re in the office, you may notice that our front area is beginning to look a little bit different, but rest assured we won’t be getting rid of our free drinks or beloved retail.

We are excited to be carrying more wellness products on hand and want to ensure that your space to come and relax remains clean, organized and safe for all the little hands that come along too! 👶👧👦

Don’t forget — we will be OPEN this Saturday from 10am-2pm for Small Business Saturday. We will have our all of our current retail products available for purchase as well as many special items perfect for holiday gift giving including candles, bath bombs, teas and more!

Dr. Lindsay will be available for walk-in adjustments only on a first come, first serve basis (established patients only).

For kids, November is a month of excitement and change - special treats like apple cider and Thanksgiving pies, a school schedule that gets interrupted by holidays, and extra family time during long weekends. While it’s fun and memorable, it can also be a lot for their little bodies to process.

Your child’s nervous system is the foundation for how well they adapt. It helps regulate sleep, mood, immune function, and digestion - all the areas that get tested when routines shift and sugar sneaks in more often.

Let today be a reminder to celebrate hard work - but also to recognize that rest and recovery are just as essential as productivity.

When you’re juggling multiple roles in life, your nervous system is constantly processing, adapting, and keeping you going. Without moments of reset, stress can build up and start to impact your focus, mood, energy, and even your overall health.

That sudden sharp pain near your shoulder blade…the tightness that flares up with a deep breath… 😮‍💨

that’s what many people refer to as a “rib out.” 

It’s uncomfortable, frustrating, and often keeps coming back. 🥴

But, the thing is…ribs don’t just pop out of place for no reason. 

Your thoracic spine (mid-back) is where your ribs attach, and when there’s misalignment or stress in that area, the surrounding muscles tighten up, pulling on the ribs and creating that painful sensation. The nervous system plays a key role here, too - when it’s under stress, your body gets stuck in tension mode. 💥

Recurring rib pain is often linked to:

Are you feeling tired, foggy, and like you’re dragging through these hot summer days? 🥵

Yes, it might be the heat.

But it might also be your nervous system signaling that it’s under stress - and dehydration could be a big part of the picture! When we’re dehydrated, it doesn’t just affect our muscles or skin, it impacts how well our nervous system communicates. 📞

When headaches become part of your daily life, it’s a sign your nervous system may be struggling to adapt. In our office, we don’t just look at where the pain is - we look at WHY it’s happening. 🔍

Here are three common types of headaches we see (and support):

Tension Headaches 🤕

>> These often show up as a dull, achy pressure across the forehead or back of the neck. Stress, postural strain, and nervous system overload can cause the muscles around your spine and skull to tighten - making it hard for your body to relax, regulate, and reset.

Migraines 🤕

>> More than “just a headache,” migraines can involve nausea, light sensitivity, visual disturbances, and throbbing pain. Nervous system dysregulation and inflammation play a big role here. We focus on reducing stress on the brainstem and restoring healthy communication between the brain and body.

Cervicogenic Headaches 🤕

>> These stem from misalignments in the neck, often radiating pain behind the eyes or up the back of the head. Poor posture, past injuries, or repetitive stress can all disrupt the flow of information between the spine and nervous system - leading to recurring pain patterns.

The long holiday weekend is almost here - or already is for some - and we’re here to remind you that you can still support your health while enjoying holiday celebrations. 🎆

A few ways to stay healthy on a holiday weekend include…

> Honoring your needs for rest and boundaries - just because it’s a holiday doesn’t mean your sleep or mental well-being need to suffer.

> Drink in moderation. Eat first. Alternate with water.

> Stay hydrated with water and electrolytes - especially with more time in the sun

> Don’t eat food that’s been sitting out in the sun. Put refrigerated food away when you’re finished or toss what’s left.

> Stay moving with light walks or fun interactive games and activities with friends / family.

> Eat mindfully. Honor your hunger cues. Don’t skip meals for “later”.
