I bet you've never heard of "Give Something Away" Day! As part of our commitment to Community Outreach, residents in our Memory Care neighborhood packed snack bags to be donated to and distributed from our local Second Harvest Food Bank. This is our third time donating to Second Harvest and we look foward to more opportunities to support our community!

Residents in our Memory Care Neighborhood enjoyed an Ice Cream Social.....with a twist 😄 Today is National Creative Ice Cream Flavors day- no regular chocolate or vanilla around here! We talked about the history of ice cream and fun facts before trying some new and creative flavors. Gooey Butter Cake and Caramel Pecan Sticky Bun were the crowd favorites!

What a fantastic way to kick off our summer! I'm thrilled to share that our, Summit Place of South Park Culinary team, competed for the first time in Chef Wars and won FIRST PLACE!!!

Their amazing collaborative efforts led us to victory in both the Entrée category and the People’s Choice award.

I’m incredibly proud of the talented individuals I have the privilege to work with. Here’s to more successes ahead!

Our second annual "Over the Rainbow" Spring Fling took us back to the land of Oz. We enjoyed a menu inspired by the classic movie including Ruby Red Meatballs, Flying Monkey Wings, Little Dogs in a Blanket, Kansas Twisters, Over the Rainbow Fruit Salad, Scarecrow Haystack Cookies, Witch Hat Cookies and Red Candy Apples with a refreshing Emerald City Punch to drink. Professor Marvel dazzled us with Fortune Telling and we were amazed by the magic performed by the Wizard of Oz himself. We were also treated to a horse of a different color carriage ride! The day left us feeling incredibly grateful that "there's no place like home" at Summit Place of Southpark! ❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵

We are so thankful for our wonderful neighbors at Myers Park High School! We were blessed with a stunning performance by director, Julia Lathan, and the Myers Park Chamber Choir with selections from their spring concert. What a treat! Take a listen....we're sure your hearts will sing as much as ours did! 😍🎵🎶

During Nurses Week, we not only celebrate our amazing nurse, Erika, but our retired nurses as well. We are honored to celebrate each one for all the lives that have been touched with their care!

One of our favorite annual traditions at Summit Place is our Mother's Day Tea. We love to honor the incredible mothers in our community with a day to make them feel as special as we think they are! Many thanks to all who were able to come out and join us. Happy Mother's Day! 🌸🩷🫖

On this National Teacher Appreciation Day, we are honored to recognize our retired Summit Place teachers. We turned the tables on these former teachers and quizzed them on the profession. They passed with flying colors! We are grateful for the lives that they have touched, for teaching truly is a work of heart. 💖
