This week we celebrated Mexican Independence Day by enjoying some delicious Mexican style foods🌽🌮🪅!!

We then ended the week by making some fall flower arrangements to bring on the new season🍁🌻🍂🍃

Day 5 of Ageless Adventure- Assisted Living Week🛳️

Destination: Bermuda 🇧🇲

We went on an excursion to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens and enjoyed lunch from Big Leaf cafe🍃 It was the perfect day to be outside!!🪷🌻🌸🌱🌿🍁

Day 3 & 4 of Ageless Adventure-Assisted Living Week 2025🛳️

Destinations: Mexico🇲🇽 & Europe 🇪🇺

Day 3 we enjoyed some music and spent the afternoon on the patio eating quesadillas, drinking margaritas and taking a swing at an indestructible piñata!🪅

Day 4 we had a Roaring Twenties Soirée where we listened to golden oldies music, enjoyed French theme foods, and reminisced about the 20s! Do you know what genre of music the 1920s are best known for?? Comment if you know the answer🎷🥂✨🖤

Day 2 of Ageless Adventure-Assisted Living Week 2025🛳️

Destination: The Bahamas🇧🇸

Our cruise line took on a Disney theme and had a magical Disney celebration✨ where our dining service made the cutest micky mouse sandwiches🥪, Snow White’s mini apple pies🍎 (not poisonous of course), magical fruit wands🪄, and some hot diggity dogs 🌭 (pigs in a blanket)! It was a magical day!💫

The residents went on an excursion to the Sea Life Aquarium🐠🐡🦑🪼🪸 and enjoyed lunch at the Concord Mills Mall Food Court🍔🍟

Henry Ford said “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young". We at Summit Place think there couldn't be anything more true! Residents from our Memory Care neighborhood visited the Charlotte Museum of History last week as part of our commitment to lifelong learning. We saw exhibits featuring portraits of famous Charlotteans, a scaled diorama of what our city looked like 200 years ago, and the restored Siloam School!
