Please help us welcome our newest Clinician Raven Gibbs. Raven is an author and licensed psychotherapist serving the beautiful state of North Carolina. Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that the individuals that she encountered were supported, loved and encouraged. Raven had a vision and executed a plan to address mental health challenges via unconventional wellness techniques to individuals that were not open to traditional therapeutic techniques and interventions. Her work is much needed in communities that are plagued by stigma and limited healthcare resources.
 
Her unique blend of absolute vulnerability and quirkiness has aided men and women of all ages on the journey to self-discovery and awareness. As one that has been impacted by mental health diagnoses of her own and with a goal is to further shift the narrative and break the stigma, Raven is the perfect combination of friend and therapist.

Welcome Janae our new Intern to the GSC team. Janae Carroll is a student intern pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. Janae completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. She also completed a master’s degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion with a specialization in Sport Leadership from the University of Kentucky, where she was an Intramural Sports graduate assistant for Campus Recreation and Wellness.

After working in sport for a few years, Janae’s passion for mental health has led her to her current academic pursuits. Her desire to create a safe and inclusive space for clients to go on a journey of self-discovery allows her to be open to learning from anyone she encounters. Janae’s dream is to one day combine her love for sports and counseling to provide a service to student-athletes that will cultivate holistic wellness.

Janae is expected to graduate with her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in August 2024, where she plans to start counseling full-time and taking next steps to obtaining a psychology doctorate in Counseling Psychology.

Welcome our newest member to the GSC team. Jessica Brice is our new Administrative Assistant and we are excited to see her grow.

Jessica obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary studies from Liberty University where she focused her studies in health and behavioral science. She is currently obtaining her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling also from Liberty University. Her passion for the mental health field has focused her professional positions in areas of education, equity, and advocacy especially for those with varying abilities and those living with neurodiverse conditions. She has 10+ years of experience working with children and teens, specifically those with challenges with behavior, mental health, or neurodiverse diagnoses in various modalities. She is passionate about therapeutic work, pouring into others, inclusivity and advocating for children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and going out to eat. Jessica is excited to be the first face that Good Stress clients see as they enter the office and she is eager to learn and grow in an environment with an amazing team of therapists.
