Good morning LowDown community. We hope everyone is staying safe during this crazy winter weather taking over the East Coast. As many of you are aware, the United States has been slipping further and further away from the ideals of liberty and justice FOR ALL that our country was founded on. We cannot sit by silently: that is not what harm reduction is about.

Art has always been political (more to come on that subject). Our team has noticed many of the artists we love and support speaking out about the atrocities happening across the country. We are grateful to see those with a platform speak out: however, we are also noticing a trend that many people want to do more, and don’t know where to start. We created a guide for artists, managers, and anyone working in the music scene (especially our niche electronic music scene) who want to utilize their platform for good.

This guide is not an end all-be all, simply a starting place for those wanting to get involved in their community. This is also a living document: the l1nk can be found in our L1nktree, and will be updated as we receive feedback, input from other organizers, and more resources.

Our team is also here to support artists who want to give back further. Please reach out via DMs, or email c.turner@getlowdown.info to start the conversation. In these trying times, all we have is each other: let’s come together and make the world a better place.

Coming back swinging into 2026 with our first Community Outreach event of the year! We will be collecting coats, blankets, gloves, and other winter supplies at live band show this Saturday!

All donations go straight to our friends at to help with their incredible community outreaches around Philly. Tiedye Ky has also donated some old merch pieces and a “Baby Blue and the Super Moon” vinyl as raffle prizes to encourage donations! We can’t wait to celebrate our great country of Philadelphia on Saturday, hope to see y’all there!!

Our Harm Reduction Spotlight series returns, featuring our dear friends at

SafeRaveNYC took matters into their own hands when they noticed a lack of harm reduction support at many grassroots events around NYC. By providing drug checking, material distribution, and crowd safety support to (mainly BIPOC and LGBTQ+ focused) independent events, SafeRaveNYC truly embodies “community-based harm reduction”. Check them out, and sign up for their volunteer email list if you’re interested in getting involved!

We’re teaming up with our friends at to collect winter clothing and supply items for Please bring your new or clean, gently used winter items to the LEKKER 004 Show on Saturday night!

If you’re looking to get more involved in harm reduction and community service, we cannot recommend volunteering with enough. They are a fantastic mutual aid group doing inspiring work in the Philly metro area, helping out the most vulnerable in our community. Info to get involved can be found on the last slide!

We are FINALLY ready to launch our newest program: Harm Reduction Starter Kits!

Promoters, organizers, and party throwers: these are for you. We wanted to create a low-barrier, cost-efficient method of providing harm reduction materials and education at more events.

Each kit will contain fentanyl test strips, condoms, l**e packets, earplugs, signage, and educational materials. These materials are to be given out FOR FREE to the patrons of your event. Fill out the form in our Linktree to get started, or email us contact.us@getlowdown.info for more information

We’ve also included information about our new Harm Reduction Directory! This is a central hub for linking local harm reduction groups to promoters, available for free in our Linktree and on our website (under the “Promoters” tab). Email us for more information or if you are a harm reduction org looking to be listed!

We love the live music community: our passion for this scene is what drove us to create the LowDown. Let’s encourage health, wellness, and harm reduction in these spaces so we can all continue to enjoy the music we love for decades to come

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Halloween Food Drive! Part of our mission of “Community-based Harm Reduction” includes taking care of the greater communities we are apart of, outside of our small niche of the live music scene. We will be continuing our food drive efforts at ALL upcoming LowDown booths in both Charlotte and Philly!

Please consider donating non-perishables if you are coming to any of these upcoming shows. You can also directly donate financially to various food banks using links in our linktree. Let’s take care of the most vulnerable in our community and help local families eat during these tough times

We’re giving you the “LowDown On…” one of the most infamous party drugs of all time: co***ne.

First synthesized for medicinal purposes and later adapted for both recreational and industrial uses, co***ne has a long and complicated history in Western culture. As we head into club season, we want our community to be educated on the history, mechanics, and risks of using co***ne. As always, dive deeper using the sources listed at the end!

We are SO excited to be joining the Crowd Safety department at Submersion this year. Check out all the health and safety resources available this weekend: it truly is an all star team!

The LowDown will be providing two harm reduction grab-and-go tables, located next to the sound booth of each stage. Stop by for FREE test strips, Narcan, condoms, and other safety supplies to keep you safe and healthy all weekend. See y’all at Paradise Lakes!
