Or was I surrounded by people who couldn’t hold my light?
At some point, many of us ask that question quietly.
Not because we enjoy conflict,
but because we were repeatedly made to feel like our needs were too much,
our emotions too loud,
our presence inconvenient.
When love feels conditional long enough, the mind turns inward and asks,
Is it me?
But here’s the truth that arrives with maturity and clarity:
You were never hard to love.
You were simply surrounded by people who could not meet you where you were.
People whose own wounds made your light feel confronting.
People who gained comfort by dimming what they could not expand into.
That realization is not dramatic.
It’s stabilizing.
It releases you from rehearsing old moments, old conversations, old self-doubt.
It returns your energy back to your body.
It allows you to stand without explaining.
Today, you may find comfort in holding rose quartz.
Not as a cure. Not as protection.
But as a physical reminder that love begins within, not in external approval.
What was withheld was never proof of your unworthiness.
If old memories surface this week, let them pass gently.
You don’t need to re-enter the story to understand it anymore.
Awareness has already done its work.
This is what integration feels like.
Quiet. Rooted. Unshakeable.
With love,
