Beneath the ceaseless toil, every man yearns for a moment of peace—no one desires a life of unending work. But since our worth is often measured in our persistence, not our existence, and the affirmation we receive doesn’t extend beyond what we can produce, we keep pushing until a paramedic is pushing us. Men, let us redefine strength not as the endurance of ceaseless labor, but as the courage to embrace our worth beyond work, and to advocate for a world that values our being as much as our doing.

Often times as men, we can feel like we have to deal with the pressures of life alone. That's why Meet Me At The Shop was envisioned, to be a safe space to meet, talk and grow. We only pass through this way one time let's make the most of it. There is more power in conversation than I think we realize and growth within those shared experiences. As we finish up the season of giving. I encourage everyone to remember what's important. It's not the "things" the gift wrap or even people per se...it's time. Time is the one thing you can't get back, there are no do overs in this thing called life and father time in undefeated. Take the time to laugh, take the time to love, take the time to take the time. If you have thinking to let someone know just how you feel take the time. Make today your day 1!

Deuteronomy 9:3

"But be assured today that the Lord your God is the one who goes across ahead of you like a devouring fire. He will destroy them; he will subdue them before you. And YOU will drive them out and annihilate them quickly, as the Lord has promised you."

Even the word says you have to do the work...prayer is not a magicians slight of hand and faith is not a trump card. Yes the Lord is forgiving and will move mountains to clear your path...but you still have to walk through it
