Do not forget to check-in with both yourself and your loved ones on a daily basis!😄

This helps with burnout and going on "auto-pilot" ✈️ People often refer to this as being "zoned out" or on "autopilot. During these times it is easy for burnout, emotional dysregulation, and stress to make its way into your life!

Daily check-ins with yourself and loved ones can be essential in healthy, happy, and whole living ✅

Happy Thursday! Have you checked in with your emotions lately? Here is a simple 4 step process!

1. PAY ATTENTION🛑It is important to recognize and bring attention to your emotions. How can you best react if you don't understand what's going on within your own body?

2. Express them! 🗣 It is important to not hide your emotions. No one is built to handle all of these big emotions on their own, seek support from a strong, trusted support system.

3. Learn! 🧠 Whether you express your emotions in an adaptive or maladaptive way, it is important to listen to your support system and yourself to best learn from mistakes and success's for the future.

4. Accept! 🥳Accept and value your own emotions and the emotions of those around you. Humans do not come with a handbook and the best thing we can do is celebrate our success's and learn from our mistakes without guilt and shame!

Mental Health Reminder:

Don't forget, your negative brain tends to not take days off so it is important to challenge these negative thoughts with positive affirmations! 👍

A lot of us are used to negative reinforcement, which is ripe for our negative brain to take over with lies such as "You are not good enough" "You are not worthy" and many more.

Let's fight back and remind ourselves we are worth so much more than our negative distortions are telling us! Drop your favorite affirmations below! 💜

Often times it can feel overwhelming to find a therapist that works for you. We all have different styles, needs, and preferences so I have given a small checklist below that has been helpful! ⬇️

1. Think about what therapeutic approach works best for you! Research the different therapeutic styles and evidence-based approaches that are out there and narrow it down to ones that meet your specific style and needs in the moment.

2. Make sure to ask questions during your first meeting. Half the battle is establishing an authentic connection and if anything is causing you anxiety or stress about the therapeutic process make sure to ask your provider! WE ARE HERE TO HELP! 🖤

3. Follow your intuition! Some therapists and clients will just differ in beliefs, styles and energy AND THAT'S OKAY! 😄 It does not mean you are beyond help, it just means this fit was not correct!

4. DO NOT GIVE UP! 🥳There is a provider that will fit with you and when you find them WE CAN RECOVER! Be patient and you will absolutely find someone wonderful that fits with your specific needs, beliefs and energy.

Together we can and will heal 🖤

In the world we live in today, we often times put too much pressure on these "life altering" changes. Mental health is often times prioritizing the small changes that we can do every single day to help make small therapeutic pivots toward recovery.

WE DO RECOVER! 💜 Below are some of my favorites, what works for you all?
