Shaina has a broad clinical experience that includes emergency care, acute inpatient care, and outpatient care.

Shaina Oberlender, M.Ac., L.Ac., R.N., B.S.N

Shaina Oberlender received her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle , Washington, and earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Radford University. After completing her training Shaina traveled to the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Chengdu University of Chinese Medicine in China, where she received certificates of Advanced Studies in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Shaina underwent extensive board examinations to become nationally board certified, a Diplomate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Dipl.Ac.O.M., NCCAOM), and licensed in the states of North Carolina and Virginia. Drawing on her knowledge and experience of Eastern and Western medical philosophy and practice she treats patients of all ages with a wide range of ailments including acute or chronic pain,stress, digestive disorders, women's health, allergies, and insomnia with a particular focus on preventative health. Shaina believes that each patient is unique and her evaluation, treatment, and educational approach reflects this philosophy. She strives to create a therapeutic environment that allows every patient the opportunity to attain a balanced and healthful state.
