The holidays can hold both light and longing. KinderMourn’s Holiday Memorial Service is a cherished annual tradition that offers a safe space for bereaved parents to pause, reflect, and honor the children who forever remain in our hearts. 🩵

Join us on Sunday, December 7th at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Park United Methodist Church. We invite all bereaved parents to attend as we gather in love, remembrance, and hope.

Last night, KinderMourn hosted a Halloween Movie Night, giving our KinderMourn families a safe and joyful space to make memories and share smiles together. It was a night filled with laughter, costumes, trick-or-treating and connection for our youngest clients to simply be kids. 🎃🧡 A special thank you to our KinderMourn team for always going above and beyond to make our families feel at home!

We are so excited to welcome Sarah Simmons as the newest member of our KinderMourn Team! 👏👏 Sarah joined us earlier this month as our Office Administrator. She is the voice that you hear when you call KinderMourn and the smiling face that greets you when you arrive at the KinderMourn house. Sarah is an integral part of our team, supporting our team and families, handling all client communications, scheduling, reminders, in-house financial tasks, invoicing, and pretty much a little bit of everything!

Before joining us, Sarah served for over eight years as the Assistant Director of Youth Ministries at Myers Park United Methodist Church and has a Master’s of Christian Education from Union Presbyterian Seminary. When Sarah is not working at the KinderMourn house, she enjoys spending time with her family, her husband, Josh, and her 1-year-old son, Benson.

We are incredibly grateful to have Sarah as a part of our Team! Please join us in welcoming Sarah to the KinderMourn family! 💜

We invite you to join our KinderMourn Handling Holiday Grief Workshops for bereaved parents. These workshops are free of charge and will be offered in-person at the KinderMourn house or online via Zoom.

The holidays can deepen the ache of loss, especially for bereaved parents. This workshop offers compassionate support, practical coping strategies, and shared wisdom from parents who have navigated this difficult season before.

❤️‍🩹We welcome all Grieving Parents on Wednesday, November 12th, at 6:30 pm at the KinderMourn home or online. This workshop is for all parents, grieving children of all ages.

❤️‍🩹We welcome all Empty Arms Parents on Tuesday, November 18th at 6:30 pm at the KinderMourn home or online. This workshop is for all parents who have experienced pregnancy and infant loss.

Please note these workshops are open to all parents grieving the loss of a child, whether you are a current KinderMourn client or not. Register if you are interested in attending as spaces are limited. RSVP to Lauren at lauren@kindermourn.org by Friday, November 7th, noting which night you plan to attend and whether you will attend in person or online.
