This workshop is open to empty-arms parents, grieving parents, and young adults who are navigating the loss of a loved one and seeking a supportive space to reflect and connect. ✨

The Quack is Back!! 🐥 Join us at the U.S. National Whitewater Center on May 3rd for KinderMourn’s Hope Floats Duck Race, a day rooted in community, remembrance, and hope. 💛🐥 For more than two decades, this event has brought families together to honor loved ones and remind us that healing doesn’t have to happen alone.

There are so many ways to be part of the day — create a team, adopt ducks, volunteer, sponsor, or simply come cheer on 55,000+ rubber ducks as they race down the river. The event is FREE to attend and FREE to create a team, making it easy for everyone to join in and help FLOAT HOPE.

As we reflect on 2025, our hearts are full of gratitude. 💙 Every family who trusted us with their story, every volunteer who showed up, every donor who believed in our mission, every person who shared a post, referred a loved one, or sat beside someone in grief— you made hope and healing possible for families across the Charlotte community.

For 48 years, KinderMourn has been a place of safety, connection, and understanding, and it is because of you that this legacy continues. While we wish there was never a need for our services, we are deeply grateful to walk alongside children, teens, and parents, as they navigate loss, reminding them they never have to grieve alone.

As we step into 2026, we remain committed to being a haven of belonging and compassion for every family who walks through our doors. Thank you for making our mission of help and hope a reality. We are forever grateful for this community and the love that surrounds it. 💙

A little library with a whole lot of heart. 💜

Thanks to the incredible generosity of .hope , our KinderMourn Little Library is now open and ready to offer comfort, connection, and gentle moments of peace to grieving children and families.

This special space is filled with stories that remind our kids they are not alone and that hope can be found, even in the hardest seasons. We are so grateful to Gemma’s Hope for making this beautiful resource possible for our community.

National Rubber Duck Day feels like the perfect time to start talking about one of our favorite traditions — the Hope Floats Duck Race. 🐥 Each year, thousands of rubber ducks race down the rapids at the Whitewater Center, all in support of grieving children, parents and families served by KinderMourn.

The Quack is Back on Sunday, May 3, 2026! We can’t wait to gather again for a day centered on community, remembrance, and hope as we honor loved ones and celebrate the impact of coming together.

Details for the 2026 Hope Floats Duck Race will be shared soon, including ways to adopt a duck, form a team, volunteer, and get involved. Stay tuned — more to come. 💛
