LD fam, please help me in welcoming Dr. G to the Lineberger Dentistry lineup. She starts today at our Fort Mill location, and I feel truly blessed to have had our paths cross at a dental charity event a few years ago with the Panthers. Some info about our new associate below:

Gopali Patel (Dr. G)

-Born in Hendersonville, NC (basically Asheville)
-South Carolina undergrad
-Midwestern University-Chicago for Dental School.
-Moved to Fort Mill right after school, and have been practicing over 5 years at a practice here in town.

-Love spending time with my fam (1 brother and my parents)
-on my weekends and time off- I’m always searching for a new place to travel and explore.
-If I’m in town on the weekend or on a normal weekday - you may find me grabbing drinks / food around Charlotte with friends, getting steps on the rail in South End or running at the greenway in Fort Mill. I love to paint as well, a skill that proves useful when considering the artistic side of dentistry.

-Now let’s talk teeth - I’m well versed at making patients with high anxiety feel comfortable in the chair, and I take a lot of pride in that. I truly enjoy a more casual approach to practicing dentistry, and cherish getting to know not only my staff like family, but also the patients. I’ve worked in a corporate setting before, and learned a lot about how I DO NOT want to work and treat patients, and am truly blessed to have crosse paths with Dr. Lineberger a few years ago at a dental charity event he was putting on. In looking for my “forever dental home”, I was looking for a family based dental practice, loyal patient base, great staff, great location, all in a welcoming, happy, laid back environment, and I believe I’ve struck gold in this case. I couldn’t be more excited to be joining Lineberger Dentistry - Fort Mill.

➖NO PREP VENEERS➖ we tried bonding on this patient, but it just wasn’t holding up and was picking up stains. She was looking for a “wider, brighter” smile, and so we decided to go with no prep veneers. With conventional veneers, tooth structure is removed from the front side and the edge of the tooth to create space for the veneers. With the no prep veneers, I didn’t touch the teeth, simply took a scan of exisiting dentition, and we had lab create very thin veneers to cement over top. Some caveats with no prep veneers: they are very “case specific”, meaning the shape, size and spacing with your teeth must be a certain way to the veneers don’t look fake and bulky. I think the no prep veneers were THE best option for this case and once the gums fill in those tiny spaces it’ll be perfect, and we can always just remove the veneers if for whatever reason we need to in the future, and her natural teeth will be chillin’ unharmed and thankful. Always open to free consults if anyone is interest in seeing if no prep veneers are an option for you. #704

BRANDING and MERCH has been my favorite aspects of owning a business, and something I never thought possible to incorporate into a field with such a boring and bland self image. It’s been the most organic way to portray what LD is, what we represent, and what makes us different than every other dental office. I wanted to pass along some unused designs from the past, so they don’t go completely wasted. Any of ‘em we should make a merch drop run with??? #704

Morning shark teeth hunt at Wrightsville Beach this past weekend. We’ve perfected our method and technique, and now it’s a rarity if we don’t find a handful each session. Who else is obsessed with shark teeth??? Just me? Ok.

Veneer case :) ➖ just a follow up to yesterday’s bonding case, sometimes to get the esthetics a patient is looking for, you have to go a step further to full veneers. I make every attempt to conserve as much natural tooth structure as possible, and these photos prove that you can make veneers look natural and harmonious. One of my fave veneer cases to date. Shoutout to little league for providing such a solid experience for these kids, from the league organizers, the facilities, all the way to the sense of community provided to all of those involved. Some of my fondest memories as a kid took place at my little league back in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and it feels good knowing that we’ve found the right organization to do the same for our kids.
