In Independent Living, we capped off our week celebrating 100 years of The Great Gatsby with a 1920’s themed happy hour. Our book club read and discussed Fitzgerald’s great American novel and we watched two movies with different takes on the book. 🥂

As we continue our campaign of promoting adoptions of senior pets and donating to the Humane Society of Charlotte. Please meet Labubu
Labubu is a young at heart little fella that's looking for a home that has lots of space for him to run around and enjoy the great outdoors. He'd also love an adopter that is familiar with providing care for deaf dogs, as Labubu is deaf. In a past life, he did live with another dog and a couple cats and was content to do his own thing. He isn't too fond of being overly handled, so would love to go to a home with older kids that are understanding of boundaries.

Meet Waltonwood Providence resident Carolyn and her two Cats!
Waltonwood Providence is Pet friendly and the love of a pet(s) are like no other and enrich our residents lives like no other!

Her cat names are Jake and Oliver (11 years old) they are brothers!
Carolyn had lost a cat and decided to go down to All Four Paws, these two brothers came right over to her and she knew that she has to take them home!
They love to chase each other around and have been very adjustable to the move to Waltonwood, the snacks that Carolyn gives them daily definitely helps
Their day is usually spent looking outside the window / porch and watching the people walk by until they have had enough and nap the rest of the day
They don’t love being picked up but will rub all over you and you will need a lint roller after spending a few minutes with them!
Fun Fact: Carolyn and her husband used to breed Corgis and used to have a bunch running around the house at one time. She has always loved cats as well though!
