In the wake of Hurricane Helene's devastation across Western North Carolina, our community is coming together to rebuild and support one another. Oklawaha Brewing is committed to doing our part, and we encourage our friends, family, and patrons to join us in supporting these vital organizations offering relief and aid to those affected. Supplies Donation Info:
If you plan to donate supplies for residents of Henderson County, please deliver them to Henderson County's distribution center at 118 McAbee Ct, Flat Rock (located off McMurray Rd just past the Dish Barn). We ask that you do not deliver directly to the six resource sites that have been established across the county.
Volunteer Information:
Henderson County is recruiting volunteers for four resource distribution hubs at Mills River Town Hall, Etowah Elementary, East Henderson High, and North Henderson High. They need 20-30 volunteers at each site and would like to staff them from 8 am to 7 pm daily. Volunteers will help distribute resources like water, supplies, and serve a hot meal at noon.
If you are interested, please reach out to the Henderson County Emergency Operation Center at 828-771-6670.
Service Interruption Support:
For those currently experiencing service interruptions due to damage from Helene, Optimum has set up a WiFi trailer where residents are welcome to stop by and connect to WiFi or charge devices at 717 S Grove St, Hendersonville. Additionally, Hands On Children's Museum in downtown Hendersonville has a Starlink access point with reliable WiFi available to the public.
Open for Business:
We are open noon until 7 PM every day and will remain open later if the curfew is lifted. We have free electricity and water available, but please note we are cash only for beer until internet service is fully restored. Additionally, the Sunflower Kitchen is open in our taproom from noon until 6 PM from Tuesday to Saturday.
Our music programming is on hold unless otherwise stated. However, we do have our Bluegrass Jam tonight (Wednesday) from 4-6 PM. Please check our stories daily as we will be posting updates when we have music scheduled.
Every donation and volunteer effort helps our neighbors in need. Together, we can rebuild.
