For more than two decades, Shannon has embodied our mission of empowering communication and transforming lives. Her leadership, compassion, and vision continue to shape the impact we make across our community every single day. 💙

When she’s not championing access to speech and hearing services, you’ll find Shannon: ⛷️ snow skiing, 🚵‍♀️ mountain biking, 📚 reading, ✈️ traveling, 🗣️ learning Italian, 🧗‍♀️ …and proudly getting back into rock climbing in 2026!

💙 Patient Spotlight: The Power of Continuity in Hearing Care 💙

When Lynn first brought her son to Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center almost 20 years ago, they were looking for support, guidance, and a team they could trust.

Over the years, CSHC has become more than a provider. It became a consistent source of care, knowledge, and reassurance, something Lynn says made all the difference in her son’s progress.

When asked what impacted their journey the most, her answer was clear:
“Continuity has been big in my son’s improvement. Continuity of care means he does not have to go long periods of time without hearing aids. CSHC also plans the care and maintenance of hearing aids. The knowledge they have is incredible.”

This kind of steady, compassionate care is at the heart of what we do.

✨ Success Story Spotlight: Aria’s Journey! ✨

When Sahyanna brought her daughter, Aria, to Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center, she immediately felt welcomed and supported. “CSHC made me feel great—comfortable,” she shared. “It made me feel like Aria was truly being cared for and not just a random patient.”

Aria began working with our amazing SLP, Gina, and the transformation soon became undeniable.

“Now I see tremendous growth in Aria. It has been night and day,” said Sahyanna. “I loved being updated and getting information to help her at home. It really does help.”

In August, Aria proudly graduated from speech therapy! 🎉 And when asked if she’d recommend CSHC?

“YES. The tremendous change alone is enough, but the care is something I really appreciate.”
