Looking for a new pair of eyeglass frames in 2021? A new look for the new year?

Translucent or clear frames have been in style for several years, but have increased in popularity over the last year. A slight hint of color has been added to improve the appearance on the face and have increased wearability for many different skin tones. Blush pink, smoke grey, and a tea-like color have become popular additions. They are available in several different materials. Translucent colors are a great neutral and a welcomed changed from the traditional tortoise and black for eyewear.

Light-weight frames have been a top request. The pendulum has swung since big and chunky was most requested. Light-weight materials such as titanium and ultem are popular. Those who get easy headaches or spend hours at the computer seem to benefit most. With the addition of masks, these frames seem to fit better, and sit better on faces.

Scandinavian design style is all about sleek, clean, and modern. The same can be said about current frame designs. Tight lines and thin temples are present on acetate frames. Nosepieces and nosepads can be made of thinner lighter materials such as titanium.
