🤧 Cold, Flu, or Something More?

Winter is peak season for colds and flu. While both can cause cough and congestion, the flu often comes on suddenly with fever, body aches, and fatigue. If your child has a high fever, trouble breathing, or symptoms that aren’t improving, our team is here to help.

Your child has a stuffy nose, cough and fever. Is it a cold? RSV? The flu? Or are they symptoms of COVID? Some COVID, flu, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and cold symptoms can be alike. But there are some clues that set each of these common viruses apart. Learn more here.

Pack:
• Snacks & water
• Extra clothes
• Comfort item (blanket or stuffed animal)
• Meds they may need (in original containers)

Don’t forget car seat safety—puffy coats off in the car seat, please!

Before buying holiday gifts, check:
• Is it age-appropriate?
• Any small parts for under age 3?

👶 For babies & toddlers, choose toys that are:
• Larger than a toilet paper tube (to prevent choking)
• Free of loose magnets & button batteries
• Soft, sturdy, and non-breakable
When in doubt, bigger & simpler is safer.

Show your kiddos how to scrub for 20 seconds (sing “Happy Birthday” twice!) to help protect against colds, flu, and RSV.
