Residents at The Barclay at SouthPark came together with purpose and compassion, making over 100 sandwiches to donate to Handz of Hope, a local Charlotte nonprofit making a real difference. 🥪💙

Handz of Hope provides food, clothing, and haircuts to those in need every 2nd Saturday of the month—and we’re proud to support their mission.

A huge thank you to our residents for their generous hearts and commitment to giving back to our community!

👏 Huge congratulations to Barclay resident Ken Brown, who was recently honored for 10 incredible years of volunteer service at Charlotte Douglas International Airport! ✈️ Over the past decade, Ken has assisted 52,210 passengers and logged 1,453 volunteer hours. To celebrate this milestone, the airport dedicated one of its iconic atrium rocking chairs in his name—a fitting tribute to a man who’s made so many travelers feel at ease. 🪑💙

😍 How adorable is this Priority Partner couple?! They are so excited to join The Barclay family that he had a custom jacket made with The Barclay logo—now that’s enthusiasm! 💙

They joined us for an event and another tour today, and proudly unveiled the jacket for all to see. We’re beyond thrilled to welcome such joyful and committed future residents!

🍷✨ A few lucky guests were treated to an unforgettable Chef Showcase 3-Course Wine-Paired Luncheon last week!

Executive Chef James wowed with a stunning menu featuring house-made ricotta with heirloom tomatoes, a peanut basil spread, and kiwi lime vinaigrette to start. Entrée choices included perfectly prepared beef medallions, sea bass, or duck breast—each plated with breathtaking flair. And for dessert? A refreshing lemon crème brûlée served in a lemon! 🍋

But the true highlight was the comradery—we laughed, we toasted, we shared stories, and we left with full hearts (and full plates). ❤️

⚾ What a day at the ballpark! Residents from Brightmore of South Charlotte and The Barclay enjoyed an outing to the UNCC vs. High Point baseball game — with a very special spotlight on our own community stars! 🌟 Resident Tom proudly threw the first pitch, and the Bright Notes choir lit up the 7th inning stretch with a spirited rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” 🎶
