I can’t count how many lessons I’ve learned through the years from my father. To this day he is still a wonderful storyteller (read=long winded) and has shared many of his lessons that way. I do, however, believe the most invaluable things my father taught me through the decades were by his example. Reliability, consistency, restraint, work ethic and a great sense of humor.

Of all of the attributes my father has modeled for me and my three older siblings- these are the ones I appreciate the most today.

I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by educators and literally in awe of their passion and dedication for their students’ growth. Growing up, I loved watching my mother prepare for special lessons or school trips.

Funny enough, two of my cousins followed in her footsteps and went into education as well! Today I salute my mother, my cousins Shawn and Marlena and ALL the amazing educators pouring into students of all ages 🥰
