💆‍♂️ Why regular chiropractic adjustments are about so much more than back pain relief.

Your spine houses your nervous system — the control center for every organ, muscle, and cell. When your spine moves well, your body functions better. 💥

📊 Research shows consistent chiropractic care is linked to:

✅ 60% fewer hospital admissions
✅ 59% fewer days in the hospital
✅ 62% fewer outpatient surgeries
(Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, 2007)

💪 Regular adjustments can also:
    •    Improve joint mobility and range of motion
    •    Reduce inflammation and muscle tension
    •    Enhance sleep quality and stress response by regulating cortisol

(Cramer et al., J Altern Complement Med, 2018)

It’s not just about feeling better — it’s about functioning better. Because when your spine moves right, so does everything else.

🩵 At Carolina Sports Clinic, our goal is to keep your body performing at its best — whether you’re training hard, recovering from injury, or just living life to the fullest.

🏃‍♀️ Think your stride looks fine? Think again.

Up to 79% of runners experience an injury each year — and most are due to biomechanical imbalances that can be identified and corrected through a running gait analysis.

👟 Here’s why it matters:
✅ 60% of running injuries stem from poor movement patterns.
✅ A proper gait analysis can reduce injury risk by up to 62% when paired with targeted strength and mobility training.
✅ Even a 1% change in stride efficiency can mean less pain, faster times, and better recovery.

At Carolina Sports Clinic, our RunDNA system goes beyond what you see on camera — using advanced motion capture and force data to pinpoint inefficiencies in your stride and create a personalized plan to fix them.

💥 Don’t wait for an injury to tell you something’s off — run smarter, not harder.

📍 Now available at CSC SouthPark location.

Shin splints are one of the most common overuse injuries in runners — affecting up to 35% of athletes at some point. 🦵

But here’s what most don’t realize: icing and foam rolling aren’t enough.

Shin splints often develop from weakness in the calves and tibialis anterior, combined with rapid increases in training load.

At , we focus on:

✅ Strengthening key lower leg muscles
✅ Improving load tolerance through plyometric progressions
✅ Identifying training or gait mechanics that contribute to stress on the tibia

With the right approach, you can reduce your risk of recurrence by up to 50% — and get back to running stronger than before.

Drop a 👍🏻 if you’ve battled shin splints before, and tag a runner who needs this info!

Shin splints aren’t just a “rest and ice” problem — they’re a load and strength problem. 💡

If you’ve been dealing with recurring shin splints, you’ve probably tried all the quick fixes: ice, foam rolling, stretching — and while those can help calm things down, they don’t actually address why the pain keeps coming back.

Here’s what makes the real difference 👇

1️⃣ Strengthen your calves

Your calves act like shock absorbers every time you run, jump, or change direction. Weak calves = more stress on your shins. Building calf strength improves your ability to handle impact and reduces strain on the tibia.

2️⃣ Load your tibialis anterior

That muscle on the front of your shin? It’s often neglected. Loading it through controlled exercises (like resisted dorsiflexion or toe raises) helps build resilience where it hurts most.

3️⃣ Incorporate plyometrics

Once pain is under control, gradual plyometric training helps your tissues adapt to impact — so you’re ready for real-life movement, not just rehab room exercises.

At we go beyond passive recovery. We help you build strength, stability, and movement confidence — so you can get back to doing what you love, pain-free. 🏃‍♀️💥

Even a “mild” concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury — and millions happen each year in the U.S. alone (CDC). Here’s what to know 👇

1️⃣ What it is: A concussion occurs when your brain moves rapidly inside your skull after a hit, fall, or jolt.
👉 9 out of 10 concussions happen without loss of consciousness.

2️⃣ Symptoms aren’t always instant: Research shows 30–50% of people develop symptoms within 48 hours (Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation, 2022).

3️⃣ Rest, then gentle reactivation: A 2021 British Journal of Sports Medicine study found that light physical activity—after 24–48 hours of rest—helps recovery faster than complete inactivity.

4️⃣ One concussion increases your risk: The American Academy of Neurology reports athletes with one concussion are 2–5x more likely to sustain another.

🚨 Always seek medical attention if you have worsening headache, confusion, vomiting, or memory loss. At , our concussion specialist can help guide you on how to safely and quickly recover from a concussion 🙌🏻.

Your brain is resilient—but it needs time and care to heal.

💬 If in doubt, sit it out.

✅ Fine-tune your form for smoother, more efficient miles

Because running smarter beats running harder every time. 💪

Sever’s Apophysitis!

🩺 follow along! for tips on all things sports medicine and wellness!

⚡️What is Sever’s disease?⚡️

Despite the name, it’s not really a disease—it’s a common growth plate injury in the heel. 👣 It happens when the heel bone grows faster than the muscles and tendons can keep up, leading to pain and inflammation.

✅ Most often shows up in active kids ages 8–14 (more boys than girls but it can certainly happen to girls)

✅ Triggered by running, jumping, and sports (most common are runners, soccer players, basketball players but really any sport can be affected).

✅ Main symptom: heel pain that flares with activity and eases with rest.

✅Once the growth plate closes, the pain goes away!

Here’s the good news: your child does NOT need to completely stop activity. In fact, helps student athletes manage their Sever’s symptoms so that they can continue playing the sport they love!

Our staff is trained on how to alleviate Sever’s pain all naturally and get your kid back on the field, court, or trail. From dry needling to cupping to laser therapy, we have all the tools to combat Sever’s!
