Anderson Counseling and Consulting Group, PLLC is a private counseling agency in Charlotte, North Carolina. We offer a variety of therapeutic services to aid individuals and families through their most difficult and challenging times. We have taken the unique approach of providing services in the client's home or school, unless the outpatient clinic is more appropriate. Individual, couple, and family therapy is available for children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing emotional and behavioral problems. Through therapeutic services, the individual will receive emotional support, work to resolve conflicts with people, understand feelings and problems, and try out new solutions to old problems. Goals for therapy may be specific (change in behavior, improved relations with friends or family), or more general (less anxiety, better self-esteem). The length of therapeutic services depends on the complexity and severity of problems.

Rainy, stormy days can shift our mood more than we realize. Less sunlight, being indoors, and disrupted routines can all impact mental health.

On days like this, the small things matter more than ever. Things like deep breathing, stretching, drinking water, or stepping outside for a few minutes when the storm permits.

A short walk, a quick stretch, or 15 minutes of movement can help reset your mind and reduce stress. Keep in mind the your brain benefits from movement just as much as your body does.
