As we enter our 13th year, we have made some powerful changes and additions!!

Phoenix Moon is our new abbreviated name. Our new slogan is “Medicine. Education. Alchemy.” This is what we offer, sometimes all at the same time. 🙏🏻🤘🏻🤙🏻🙂

For the last 6 years I’ve been training and apprenticing in Shamanic Medicines. I am now blending these medicines and practices with my Daoist Classical Chinese Medicine. The results have been life-changing. (Don’t worry, you can still get straight Chinese Medicine if you’re not ready to dip a toe into the Wu.)

Over the last 12 years, I have developed methods and treatments that are proprietary and only found here at Phoenix Moon. Some are undergoing trademarking and patenting at this time.

While healing my own (diagnosed) Complex PTSD, I have been lead to deep training and work with some of the most impactful and influential leaders in trauma work and resiliency. Now, I blend all that I have learned and spent the last several years practicing, into a method of care that reaches multiple dimensions of healing.

Lastly, one of the most powerful specialties I practice is Women’s Wholeness. This is more than the mental or physical healing of ‘Women’s Health’. This spans all facets of a woman to include her spiritual, mental, emotional, energetic and physical aspects to create wholeness and sovereign unification. Through my 5 Elements of Wellness course, various ceremonial and Shamanic offerings, I have been able to help women reclaim something that was lost many generations ago.

Please know that I am still a general practitioner treating men and women and every health or healing need.

We have new offerings each season specific to the season. I will be launching new continuing education courses and a new podcast.

Heart 1, Jí Quán, Utmost Source. This point is tucked into the axilla, aka the armpit. This space, protected by the musculature of the chest, back, shoulder and arm, is very much like a safe cave, a tucked away space in the darkness where drops of water fall into pools that would shimmer were there light for reflection. This location is also a place of lymphatic stagnation, where lymph nodes are overwhelmed resulting in back flow and tenderness in the arm pit and breasts.

I use this point for anyone who has experienced trauma (medical or otherwise) to the extent that, instead of being able to flee, they, instead locked themselves inside the panic room of their hearts and hid in that cave/cavern/room until it was safe to emerge. Door Dash delivers to that room btw…I know from experience.

This point allows me to gently knock on that panic room door, to let whomever is locked within to know the threat is gone and I’m there to help them find safe space again.

Betrayal, loss of trust, loss of choice, loss of autonomy, abandonment when we call for help, direct threats to our mental-emotional or physical safety can make the Sovereign Heart Queen flee or hide in order to survive. It’s ok. It’s how we DO survive. But we have to return to our thrones if we are to rule the Kingdoms of our bodies and our lives.

Unable to hold it all. Broken from desiccation. The continual pouring out of a drop there, a sip here. At last turning to oneself to drink, to quench the thirst and dryness, the voice hoarse from too much speaking but not being heard, there is nothing left. Emptiness in the basin of the broken bowl/vessel. Sadness may be its only contents.

Realize, however, that broken does not equal useless and that a foundation, the basin, still exists. It holds, maybe not enough to feed all, but enough to feed yourself.

You re-form yourself from the dark loam of the Earth. The vessel forms and takes the shape of the container you now are.

You bring this into your being and allow its energetic and spiritual fullness to become part of all that you now are.

“YOU’RE GOING TO
THINK I’M CRAZY BUT...”
...Is the phrase I have heard from countless people over the years just before they shared a personal experience related to energy or something spiritual. This statement was usually followed by copious questions and a final statement of “You just can’t make this s* up.” As a note, I have never found one person who was actually ‘crazy’.

In celebration of the curious beginner’s mind, I want to invite you to a short Spiritual Beginnings workshop on Sunday, April 27th from 1p-3p. In this workshop, I am going to cover the pitfalls I’ve heard along people’s roads to deeper connection and answer any questions you have regarding spiritual work.

My intended topics are:

•Energy, Spirits, Haints, Ghosts. What they are, how they are different, why you look so inviting to them.
•Various energetic protection methods (ie. bubbles, white lights, Sage). Do they work?
•Finding the safe Healer. What do you look for? How do you know they are legit?

I’ve made the door! It’s official!! For the last 9 months I’ve been in charge of the Thermography Program at The Balanced Body Center in Matthews. I was asked to step in when the former owner of the practice passed away. I am slowly building out a Women’s Health program at this location. For now, I’m using the incredible tool of thermography to offer Chinese Medicine coaching to individuals for proactive health and disease prevention. My patient, friend and mentor of 13 years passed away yesterday. I was honored to be with her as she let go. She started as my patient when I was a 3rd year Chinese medicine student in my first clinic rotations and she saw me every week for an hour or three each week until a month ago when I had to stop the housecalls I’d been providing for the past year due to no cognitive ability to give me permission to treat or receive. I can’t speak for other practitioners nor healers but I can say that my work is about forging relationships and walking the entire path with the people that entrust me with their care and with their lives, even if that path leads through darkness and to the end of it all. She became my friend and was my mentor in so many spiritual things. She gifted me with so many spiritual things from her personal collection. When I saw her last Tuesday, she held my right hand and softly stroked LI-4, one of the points she always felt strongly, as if to remind me to let go and to not hold on to the sorrow after she left {for that is one of the functions of this point}. When I told her that I would see her on the other side and called her “Wild Woman” for the last time, she knodded her head in recognition. Her daughter said that she hadn’t responded even to her or her sisters voices. I’m so honored she heard mine. So, I will honor her last lesson to me of letting go. The poem is my final thank you to 13 years of holding energy in the exchange.
