All of these unreasonable cuts make it more and more difficult to support our aging population. We field calls on a weekly basis from ordinary citizens who are not wealthy and do not have the extraordinary income to care for themselves and aging loved ones. Unless you are very wealthy, you will not be able to manage aging. Cuts like this make it harder for you, your family, friends and neighbors.

Staff and experts fear the massive cuts will kneecap the agency's ability to fulfill its mission.

There are many different types of professionals available to assist when aging parents need more help than we can give.

Meet the Care Managers! (That's us) Care managers or coordinators act as professional advisors who assess needs, develop care plans, and coordinate services. This can be extra helpful in circumstances where family is living far away.

Meet the Home Health Aides! These professionals provide hands-on personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and light housekeeping for seniors who need extra help but wish to remain in their own homes.

Meet the Nurses and Medical Professionals! As Registered Nurses (RNs), Care Weavers can also monitor health conditions and more. Medical Professionals play an important role with aging parents in diagnosing conditions and providing treatment plans.

Meet the Assisted Living and Long-Term Care Staff! These professionals provide facility-based support for daily activities, medication management, safety oversight and socialization when living at home is no longer feasible.

WHY CARE WEAVERS

With nursing as our background, and a passion for helping the elderly, we noticed where the in house advocates can make patients feel less. Less comfortable with treatment options, less knowledge about alternatives provided outside of that facility, and over all less financially attainable for the patients all together. This started us on the path of independent advocacy.

As independent advocates we can work with you to help you fully understand your diagnosis and treatment options as well as any potential risks with those treatments. This allows you to make informed decisions on your health faster, and keep a cool collected head in the face of crisis.

We also serve as grief advocates, helping you find the light in life that may be hidden by the pain of a sick or passed loved one. This service allows us to not only provide support for the ill but also for their families to ensure everything goes smoothly at the time of passing, and help them get back to remembering the good times faster. We love helping families in this time of need because it can be over whelming and confusing on what to do first.

Serving the Charlotte area for patient advocacy brings our community closer together through love and support even in this big metropolitan place. Let us be the love you are looking for with your medical care!
