The gala will be Friday, May 22 from 6:30 - 8:30pm in Rock Hill, SC. The evening will include musical performances, a silent auction, refreshments, hearing testimonials, and mingling with really great people making a difference in our communities! Check out Upcycle Arts's upcoming celebration! We have appreciated partnering with them for last year's retreat and are impressed by their creativity & resourcefulness

You (yes, you!) are Invited to our birthday party!!
We have all sorts of fun things planned:

Free live art all day!

11am-12:30pm is kicking us off with good vibes and a diy bracelet bar using their irresistible bead collection!

1pm-3pm Will be whimsical face painting by ! Kids and adults alike will be excited about her one-of-a-kind designs.

3-5pm BRING A GARMENT (T-shirt, tote bag, jacket, jeans, anything) and will Upcycle it with an adorable appliqué patch.

5-7pm We're doing photo booths, but analog. Insert tokens at 's photo booth and receive a hand drawn cartoon-style portrait!

All day pay what you want craft:

Pay what you want and use our curated selection of supplies to make your own planter pot out of upcycled tin cans! It’ll be perfect for planting herbs, or spring flowers!

PMT was grateful to receive support from UNC-Chapel Hill Students during their spring break in Charlotte! APPLES Service-Learning is a student-led program within Carolina Center for Center for Public Service at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The students volunteered during an adaptive adults program, Community Grooves, at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library - South Boulevard location, then completed many projects at PMT's main location in Charlotte.

Thanks for allowing Piedmont Music Therapy to continue serving local individuals and families in greater Charlotte!
Here is an overview of metrics from last month, February 2026. We worked with 29 individual music therapy clients, child or adult ages, 11 community partnerships throughout Mecklenburg/York Counties and attended 6 resource fairs or networking events.
Additionally, we worked with 9 students in our inclusive music studio, served 186 people throughout the community during mobile services, and 440 people learned more about our mission through in-person fairs and events.
Of the inquiries received online and over the phone, 32% were related to new possible clients, 23% were interested in volunteering and 23% asked about presentations or workshops.
Our staff of board-certified music therapists provided 126 individual appointments and facilitated 29 group programs.

It was an honor connecting with so many music therapy professionals & students that attended the Southeastern Region of the American Music Therapy Association Conference that was hosted in Charlotte, NC this past week! Amazingly there were 500 attendees at the 4-day conference! It was a whirlwind of learning & growing.

Thanks for allowing Piedmont Music Therapy to connect, play and grow in Charlotte Metro!

Here is an overview of metrics in January 2026. We worked with 32 individual music therapy clients, child or adult ages, 9 community partnerships throughout Mecklenburg/York Counties and attended 4 resource fairs or networking events.
Additionally, we worked with 9 students in our inclusive music studio, served 181 people throughout the community during mobile services, and 56 people learned more about our mission through fairs/events.
Of the inquiries received online and over the phone, 44% were related to volunteer interest, 19% were related to presentation or workshop requests and 6% were potential clients.
Our staff of board-certified music therapists provided 142 individual appointments and facilitated 18 groups.

Thanks to Arts & Science Council for awarding Piedmont Music Therapy the 2025 Strategic Investment Grant! This initiative funds a partnership with Mission Mappers, LLC to assist strengthening
our capacity for sustainability to better serve the community through music therapy treatment, inclusive studio lessons and educational programs intersecting music and health.
