🌞 Applications open March 1, 2026!

The 2026 First In Families Summer Camp Scholarship Project is now accepting applications for Mecklenburg County families with children ages 1–18.

Eligible campers with an intellectual or developmental disability may receive $400, and siblings may receive up to $200 per child.

Requirements include:
✔ Mecklenburg County residency
✔ Household income at or below 300% FPG
✔ A qualifying intellectual/developmental disability in the home
✔ Completed application + camp enrollment documentation

Funding is first come, first served.

No reimbursements. No phone calls, please.

From May 1 to August 11, 2025, First In Families of Mecklenburg County, a project of InReach NC is collecting school supplies for children with developmental disabilities and their siblings. Your donations will make a lasting impact on local families working hard to achieve their goals.

We're calling on individuals, businesses, and community partners to join us as sponsors and supporters. Whether you donate a backpack or sponsor a full classroom’s worth of supplies, you’re making a difference.
