Little changes can have big impacts. I’ve gotten Tox from every one of our wonderful injectors, and they are truly amazing at what they do!

Have you ever considered Plastic Surgery but was the freaked out by the entire process and making a decision?

That’s totally normal. Getting a or seems glamorous. We see the before and afters and get excited. But after sitting in a consult, patients often leave feeling nervous and anxious. Often times that makes them question if they are making a good decision.

So how do you tell if surgery is right for you?

Listen to your gut. That may seem crazy, particularly if you are a Type A personality like me, but I promise you that trusting your gut feeling is so important when it comes to deciding whether or not to have plastic surgery.

Does this mean there will not be times when you’re nervous? Or during recovery you wonder if you made the right decision? Of course not. That’s a part of being human.

But when we make decisions we are at peace with, we can recognize those moments for what they are. Our thoughts taking a snapshot of our feelings at the time and telling us it’s our reality.

A big part of what we focus on in our clinic is how you will feel and how to manage it. This way when that moment shows up, it doesn’t spin you out, but leaves you feeling prepared and ready.

3 Nonnegotiable’s I would have as a patient if I was getting plastic surgery.

1) Board Certification. This one may seem obvious, but I would be sure I felt confident that the surgeon was credentialed and met all the requirements/rigorous training to safely and consistently do the job.

2) Experience. I would verify that the surgeon was performing the procedure I wanted consistently, with consistent predictable results. Even as surgeons, the more someone gets repetition and practice, the better and more finely tuned their expertise and craft is.

3) Trust. The best way to decide this one is listen to your GUT. If I sat in a consult and didn’t like the vibe of the surgeon, felt unheard, or like I was just another patient I wouldn’t do it. At the end of the day, getting surgery is the ultimate TRUST, and before I moved forward I would find someone that matched my values, and I knew had my back. This matters!
