As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, take a moment to invest in the person who carries you through every day—you.

Life has been heavy for many of us. Between work, family responsibilities, caregiving, financial pressures, and the constant demands of daily life, it’s easy to put our own well-being on the back burner.

The truth is, we all need support, connection, and spaces where we can talk openly without judgment.

Join the Women’s Health and Resilience Foundation and Sebrina G. Berry of The More We Know for a FREE community conversation: “The More We Know, The Stronger We Grow: Mental Health & Therapy Matters.”

Together, we’ll explore mental health, break down barriers surrounding therapy, share practical tools, and remind one another that seeking support is a sign of strength—not weakness.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a reminder that caring for our minds is just as essential as caring for our bodies. This month, we’re creating space for real conversations, real tools, and real community healing.

On May 28th, we’re gathering for The More We Know, The Stronger We Grow: Mental Health & Therapy Matters — an interactive, judgment‑free event designed to help you learn, reflect, and grow with support.

Your story matters. Your healing matters. Your mental well‑being matters. Join us as we learn together, connect deeply, and strengthen our resilience as a community.

As a nonprofit , we know one thing for certain: we would not be where we are without our volunteers. Their dedication, professionalism, knowledge, and generosity of spirit are the heartbeat of our work. Anytime we have the opportunity to recognize a volunteer, we take it with deep gratitude.

Our Volunteer Ambassador, Temisan Shebi, is truly exemplary—a bright, shining light whose impact never goes unseen.

Yesterday, we had the honor of celebrating her as she was nominated and inducted into The Be Good Crew, a cast of characters who represent core values and live out the mantra:

It’s simple. Just Be Good.

In partnership with SHARE Charlotte Charlotte, Harriet's Hamburgers has an honorary rotating fifth character added—modeled after a real person doing good in our community. This year, that person is Temisan.

Temisan is a dedicated leader and hands-on volunteer with the Women’s Health and Resilience Foundation, playing a vital role in growth, outreach, and community connection. From organizing volunteers and building partnerships to supporting grants and fundraising, her impact is felt across every layer of our mission to support women navigating breast cancer treatment, their wellness journey and beyond.

Known for her wit, warmth, and gift for building genuine, lasting connections, Temisan brings people together and helps ensure that no one walks their journey alone.

We are incredibly proud of you, Temisan—and so grateful for all the good you do. 💛✨
