Reach Out to Your NC Legislators and Governor Stein!
Ask Them to Fund the Medicaid Rebase!
Medicaid is an important program for support and services. The Medicaid rebase is used to fund Medicaid services that individuals with IDD, and their families, rely on every day.
The North Carolina General Assembly will be in session in Raleigh next week. They need to hear from you before Monday, September 22nd!
Feedback from IDD providers and community members is important to help inform legislators of the impacts of proposed Medicaid rate cuts.
Here's what we need you to do:
1) Contact your representative in the NC House and your senator in the NC Senate.
2) Ask them to please fund the Medicaid rebase when they come to Raleigh next week.
All you need to do is say: "My name is ____ and Medicaid is important to me. Please fully fund the Medicaid rebase." If you would like to say more about your story or your reason, that is fine, but this is a very simple, quick call (or email).

Things to remember: Medicaid provides essential healthcare and services to millions of children and adults with disabilities.
Medicaid changes lives:
β’ Medicaid helps millions of people with disabilities access the healthcare they need to live healthier, fuller lives.
β’ If Medicaid provider rates are cut, they may decide not to provide care for Medicaid recipients.
β’ Medicaid offers services for people with disabilities, giving them the ability to go to work, school, and be present in their community.
β’ People with disabilities may face a higher cost of living with additional medical needs and fewer services available.
