Why did we opt for a deep plane vs. a traditional facelift for this patient?

5 things you need to know before your lip filler appointment 💋

1. Don’t skip the consultation. This is your chance to share your goals, ask questions, and make sure you and your injector are on the same page before your treatment.

2. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications a few days before. These can increase bruising and swelling post-appointment. The cleaner your system, the smoother your recovery.

3. It is not painful, but you may feel some discomfort. At CFP, we apply topical numbing beforehand to keep you as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure.

4. Swelling is part of the process. Your lips will look more dramatic right after your appointment than they will once everything settles. Give it two weeks to see your true results.

5. Results are not permanent. Most lip fillers last anywhere from 6 to 12 months depending on the product and how your body metabolizes it. Maintenance appointments are totally normal and expected.
