Scenes from the 25th Buffalo Marathon weekend

There’s no place like home and Buffalo has my heart. This past weekend was my 2nd time racing the Buffalo Half Marathon and my 11th overall. While I didn’t hit my A goal, another PR was set and it couldn’t have happened at a better race.

This year’s event hit different. All the feels. Excitement that my parents will be relocating to Charlotte. Sadness that this is probably be the last time I’m in my childhood home. Grateful for the memories and all the support I’ve received leading up to this race. One major chapter in my life closing, another beginning. I gave it my all and left nothing in the tank. Gritty performance, the Buffalo way.

Great to catch up with family and friends post race. I love Buffalo too much to stay away long. Big thanks to .crofts and for helping get my legs race ready! It takes a village and even a PT needs a strong team

As a Physical Therapist I love trail running for so many reasons. Not only is it a great way to get moving outside and connect with nature, it helps strengthen muscles and tendons in ways that we just can’t get with road running. While it’s easy to get bogged down with maintaining certain paces, I prefer to ignore the watch while on trails and just go based on effort. Running is fun. The trails help remind us of that.

Shout out to who leads at the Whitewater Center on Monday mornings. Great group to connect with whether you are experienced or just starting out.

Birthdays are worth celebrating. QCPT just turned one year old and what a year it has been!

I opened QCPT Physical Therapy in May 2024 with the goal of establishing an inclusive clinic that is supportive of the surrounding community. So many connections have been made and I’m blown away with the love I’ve received in return. QCPT is here for, because of you, and will continue to serve you. The best is yet to come!
