Sun Salutations (a or b) are a sequence of foundational yoga postures where you connect a single breath to each movement.

A single round of common sequence looks like:

high prayer (urdhva hastasana) > forward fold > half lift > forward fold > runners lunge > downward dog > high to low plank (chaturanga dandasana) > upward dog > downward dog > 3pt > runners lunge > forward fold and repeat

Not only is this a great way to set the foundation for a longer flow, but it’s great for finding consistency in strengthening the mind, body, and breath connection.

I invite you to join me in creating a stable foundation with a daily sun salutations commitment “challenge” as we start to dust off from the winter solstice and make our way into spring.

Jumping into the new year with LTL WellCollective!✨

Some of you may remember our announcement of LTL WellCollective towards the end of 2025. Well, we are officially in full swing for 2026!

LTL WellCollective was created to bridge gaps within the wellness community by promoting collaboration over competition. We aim to provide healing spaces not only for the community at large but also for the healers themselves, ensuring that wellness offerings are accessible, affordable, and widely known.

Arm balances are inversions, but not every inversion is an arm balance.

Inversions are postures where your heart is positioned higher than your head, and forces your blood to flow differently than it does when you’re standing right side up and lying horizontal. The more you practice inversions, your brain will start to find new ways to respond to moments of fear as they also challenge your fight or flight response.

Even something as simple as hanging out in a forward fold or downward facing dog allows your brain to focus on your body awareness and trust that you’re not going to fall.

I always begin my own practice, including any class or offering, slowly making my way into a downward facing dog to help reset my nervous system.

Other benefits include:
+ Increased blood flow to the brain
+ Regulates nervous system
+ Reveals breath-holding patterns
+ Retrains relationships with fear
+ Improves body awareness
+ Decompresses lymphatic stagnation zones
+ Softens upper body tension
+ Moves trapped gas
+ Improves sleep quality

So much gratitude to our Charlotte community for all of the love, support, and growth🌱

This Thursday will be my last class in Charlotte as I prepare for this new chapter in my next city. I can’t wait to pour all of the love right back into this beautiful community one last time.

Each attendee will receive a set of props (blocks, blanket, and a bolster) as a special thank you. There are only a few spots left for class and I hope to see you there🫶🏾
