Connie’s laugh was infectious. Her daughter, Kristen, told us they shared a close bond. She said her mom loved everyone around her with everything she had. Connie enjoyed spending time with all of her family, especially her grandkids.

She enjoyed cooking big meals and there was always way too much food. Connie watched a lot of Lifetime movies, crime shows, and America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Robert was a family man with a strong love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also loved going to church and worshipping the Lord.

In his spare time, he created homemade soaps and enjoyed cooking and baking. His wife told us he made delicious cookies and cakes.

Mark was known for his strong work ethic. Mark was a skilled woodworker and CNC machine operator. He loved to cook and share recipes with those around him, including his customers. He loved animals and playing with any he came across.

He also loved playing guitar and pool in his spare time. His family misses him very much and is so grateful he was able to change lives as an organ, eye, and tissue donor.

Mark saved 4 lives through the donation of his organs. He also donated his pancreas for important medical research. He gave 2 people the gift of sight and will go on to impact 25 people through the donation of his tissue. Gwynn had a fearless presence, according to her sister. She said Gwynn wasn’t afraid of anything. She loved adventure and relished her independence. Gwynn and her sister both loved the long talks they had with each other.

In her spare time, Gwynn loved to travel. Some of her favorite trips were to Paris, Italy, Greece, and Egypt. She was also a skilled photographer, taking photos of the new people, cultures, and cuisines she found during her travels.

LifeShare welcomed members of the North Carolina Transplant Athletes team to our facility for our celebration. Our teammates had the honor of signing the Transplant Life Foundation flag during the athletes' visit 💙💚

The flag will be displayed in Denver as transplant recipients, donor families, and other donation advocates attend the games next month!

Big shout-out to UNC Health Blue Ridge for showing it's never too late to celebrate Donate Life Month! Their teammates came out and showed their support for organ, eye, and tissue donation at the hospital's flag raising yesterday 💚💙
