This kitty kitty is Eggplant, a 16 year old Siamese mix. Eggplant has been struggling with both asthma and IBD for the past few years. As a result of all the medications designed control her inflammatory conditions, Eggplant now struggles with weakened immunity. In addition to weaning Eggplant off her immune modulating medications, her family wanted to add in acupuncture and herbal remedies to try to get her back in balance. .

Cutie patootie alert! Ashi welcomes Hank, a 14 year old Chorkie (chihuahua/yorkie x). Hank has heart disease and narrowed trachea that has resulted in pesky cough that keeps him and his mom up at night. Western meds help but poor Hank still coughs. His mom decided to try acupuncture and herbal remedies to see if we can give him some relief and allow him to get the rest he needs and deserves

This picture perfect puppers is Ruby, a nearly 4 year old mixed breed (pibble/doxie?). She was born with abnormal shape to bones in her front legs (angular limb deformity). Though she gets around fine, mom has noticed the bowing has become more pronounced and the placement of her feet more rotated in past year or so. She has had periodic bouts of discomfort mom believes was in her neck and hips. She recovered with course of anti inflammatory medications. Mom sought out our help in helping to keep these episodes of pain to a minimum

Put your paws up if you love acupuncture ❤️Ashi welcomes Ellie, a nearly 7 year old pit bull mix. Ellie tore her acl a few months ago while jumping off couch. She recovered with rest but then reinjured it while chasing a squirrel. The tear is partial, so Ellie’s family wants to try a medical approach to healing vs surgical. We all know this look all too well…the dreaded cone of shame. This time, it’s modeled by Gracie, a two year old pibble recovering from TPLO surgery to repair a torn ligament in her right knee. She’s done well post op but her leg and incision remain swollen. Gracie’s family wanted to add in acupuncture, laser therapy and Chinese herbs to help her recover. Certainly she hopes it’ll shorten the time she has to wear her dreaded ‘party hat’

This sweet someone is Cooper, a 12 ish year old German Shepherd. Cooper was adopted as an adult after a rough start in life. He had heartworm that was treated as well as chronic intermittent diarrhea. He also has a lot of fear based anxiety. In past year or so, Cooper’s mobility has declined. Initially it was thought to be due to sore joints from arthritis. Our exam revealed more of a neurological deficiency resulting in progressive weakness. He’s had 2 treatments so far and is tolerating the hands on approach better than anyone expected. Here’s hoping our integrative approach to his spinal issues is a success

Say hi to Henry. Henry is a 13 year old shepherd mix. He was a very active and athletic dog fur most of his life. I’m past few months he’s lost a lot of function and muscle mass in his back end. Full work up and neuro consult were not pursued but our exam revealed his clinical signs were likely from neurologic, not orthopedic causes. He’s been treated twice with acupuncture, electroacupuncture and laser and he will start underwater treadmill and herbal therapies this week. Hoping we can get poor Henry back up and running very soon.

This little old lady is Tango, a 15 1/2 year old mixed breed pup. Tango recently underwent surgery and immunotherapy to address an oral melanoma. The surgery resulted in giving her a crooked smile but one we’re happy to see. In addition to fighting off cancer, Tango has also been struggling with back end weakness, stilted gait and incontinence. Hoping acupuncture, laser and herbal remedies will offer this sweet senior some much deserved relief

This sweet shepherd mix is 13 year old Layla. Layla’s family sought treatment to help manage her back pain and Hindquarter weakness of several months duration; previous X-rays revealed a fair amount of arthritis in lumbar spine as well as mild remodeling of hip joints.

Ashi welcomes Willow, an 11 year old Cavalier King Charles spaniel. Poor Willow has been struggling with some mobility issues in recent past. Exam revealed pain in her neck as well as stiff and sore hips. Despite her age, Willow has a lot of energy which can often make acupuncture challenging (those darn needles fall out if they move too much). We love to see seniors pups with high energy. Hoping our treatments will help keep this active girl playful and actively for many years to come

These soulful eyes belong to Grace, a 15 year old Boxer mix. Grace has combination of upper back pain, back end weakness and arthritis in her knees. She’s already taking several medications for pain relief but her dad wanted to try adding in acupuncture to see if the combination of therapies offered more relief.

This charcoal cherub is Remmy, a 15 ish year old shepherd mix. Remmy has been struggling with back end weakness/sinking, ataxia and exercise intolerance. X-rays revealed narrowed disc spaces in her lumbar spine. We are treating her for presumptive IVDD with acupuncture, PEMF and laser therapy. So far she’s tolerating treatments well. Stay tuned to see how our integrative protocol helps to improve her daily life.
