Today is National Mammography Day, Mammograms are an incredible resource to help detect Breast Cancer early! The National Breast Cancer Foundation states "It’s important for all women ages 40 and over to get a mammogram every year. Women over the age of 20 should prioritize an annual well-woman exam and talk to their doctor about breast cancer risk factors to determine when to begin annual mammograms." Started in 2003, the "organization centers around creating an educational and social outlet for women and men with breast cancer to unite in courage and care." Carolina Breast Friends offers a wide selection of resources and benefits: including programs such as support, education & wellbeing, a safe space for survivors, 1:1 mentoring and host several events through out the year! They are also a great resource for those that want to get involved either through donations, volunteering or planning a fundraising event.
