We specialize in dynamic gait scanning and custom designed orthotics for patients based on their individual foot needs.

We offer services in Charlotte as well as various locations on our mobile clinic from Rock Hill to Concord. Performance Orthotic’s state of the art technology and unique blend of materials provides patients the best orthotic device on the market today, while allowing patients the versatility of wearing their orthotics in a wide variety of shoes. Taking into consideration the needs of the patient i.e presenting diagnosis, symptoms, activity levels, weight, age, and daily styles of shoes, will determine the style of orthotic the patient is prescribed.

Looking to buy new shoes? Here are our top 3 things to look for: They need to be firm around the heel, if you can push your finger on the heel counter and it compresses, move on. They need to flex at the ball of the foot, not at the arch of the shoe. And lastly you shouldn’t be able to twist the shoe. If you can twist it like a wash rag, it will have no support for the foot.

We cannot stress how much we LOVE these sandals and flip flops by Hoka OneOne. If you are have any forefoot issues such as Metatarsalgia, Hallux Rigidus, Fat Pad Atrophy, or MP fusions this is the shoe for you. With their patented Metarocker, this amazing shoe helps to protect the forefoot when you begin to 'toe off' decreasing pain while its thick cushioned sole provides more than adequate shock absorption and comfort. Though its getting colder outside, we love this shoe for an around the house protective mechanism on hard wood floors and tiles - just remember to get the sandal version if your tootsies tend to get cold.

THE BENEFITS OF WEARING COMPRESSION STOCKINGS/SOCKS

Compression socks are most likely to benefit you if:
• You've recently had surgery or have been on bed rest—
inactivity increases your risk of DVT.
• You're going on a long flight. You'll be inactive and confined
to a tight space for many hours, which increases the risk of
blood clots. Research has shown that people who wear
compression stockings during air travel are less likely to
develop DVT or swelling in their legs.
• You have a clotting disorder that puts you at risk for DVT, or
a family history of DVT.
• You have varicose veins or leg ulcers. Compression socks
won't cure these conditions, but they can combat the aching,
swelling, and general discomfort that often accompanies
them.
