Feed Your Zest Nutrition & Wellness Hi! I’m McKenzie Caldwell, founder and lead dietitian of Feed Your Zest Nutrition & Wellness.

We help folks heal from perfectionism around food and their bodies so they can live fully nourished through fertility, pregnancy and beyond. I’m a strong believer that your body is wise, and that tuning into your innate wisdom is powerful. I want to help you find that power through reconnecting to your body, and with a little nutrition science along the way, reach your reproductive health goals and ultimately live your best life. I believe nutrition should be truly holistic - which means it takes into account your mental and emotional health too. At least 64 of you asked for my Rotisserie Chicken Bone Broth recipe, so here it is 🍲

Bone broth is a great source of collagen - a type of protein that supports fetal bone and joint development, and helps with postpartum healing. There's a lot of complicated ways to make bone broth out there, but this one simply uses a rotisserie chicken carcass! You can also make this in a crock pot, just sauté everything in a pan first before transferring over.

The TRUTH is: Weight loss alone doesn’t guarantee improved fertility, and focusing only on the scale can delay the care you actually need.

Fertility is complex.

It deserves an approach that looks at the whole picture, not just a number. 💛

Newsflash: you didn’t.

The scale reflects so many normal shifts (swipe through for examples) that have nothing to do with body fat or health.

That number can go up or down day to day, but it still doesn’t tell you anything about your actual health, or your worth.

We need to zoom out and look at the bigger picture - your labs, symptoms, energy levels, and mental health are all so much more helpful than the number on the scale.
