😘 Greetings Fam! I hope all is love & transforming in ways that honor our Jais / Hearts and connect us deeper in this experience. SOJ’s first pilot virtual after-school Youth Circle is a dream realized and shaping into a sweet Sacred space honoring Youth. ✅
I’ve always seen SOJ as a training and development movement (learning, loving, & thriving space!) that impacts participants - generations before, present, and after them. Intergenerational healing, joy, & honor connect us to humane & spiritual practices. Grateful!

🌈One of my School of Jai students aka teacher, Duke!
He loves my Ancestor Mother, and thinks she is the silliest Grandmother around! 🥳 He never got a chance to meet mom in the flesh, but I actively speak about mom’s Legacy and have shown him all her silly dancing videos.
I love my families, and gifted Duke’s family Marigold flowers to plant, a Sacred flower of our Southeast Asian Diaspora, in honor of our Ancestors. ✊🏽
We must ALWAYS remind the youth, and ourselves, of the Powerful People that came before us, and who helped us arrive here, today. We honor them by delivering who we are. This is a potent practice of decolonizing our minds, actions, bodies, Jais, and beliefs.
Intersectionality, intergenerational, intercultural, and interconnectedness MATTERS!

Open Jai Night was 🔥🔥🔥‼️ Super blessed to have the Beautiful Ones show up with us to share JAI / HEART.... and soul much GRATITUDE for our first feature ! 🙏🏼 Thank God I found Touch One Production’s weekly poetry nights at the Wine Up over a decade ago! JC the Poet held that space down for others in the community to share their hearts, experiences, visions & dreams via poetry & live music!

That experience CHANGED MY LIFE! To experience people bringing words to life in such a courageous way was mind blowing! I rocked my first poem dedicated to my Great Grandmother in that stage, and was offered my first paid poetry gig after that share 🔥

It’s been a while, and my have so much shifted in this human Spirit experience. As the times keep shifting, I’d like to remind everyone of their Personal Power, align Actions with Values, and to always Stand up and Speak up when injustices are happening! ✊🏽
The war against Black Lives must be dismantled at the personal level - killing Ani-Blackness at the root - and on a systematic structural level that is happening all around us. As a Daughter of Refugees, I can never forget the bloodshed on this land, and we must always honor, remember, and uplift Indigenous Lives because the battle against colonialism, imperialism, & white nationalism will be won when we never forget, face it head on, and create changes that will sustain our future generations! We, the People, are Powerful! ✊🏽
‼️Strategy: Get in touch with your Ancestors through remembering, prayer, offerings, and communicating with them. If you don’t know who your Ancestors are, it’s ok, there are many out here like a dedicated team already uplifting you. 👌🏽 Give honor and they will give you the messages and clarity to be a Force today!
Stay lifted, and remember, together we are better! Activate your ❤️ JAI / Heart Power and start being part of the Solutions today, so our children get to have tomorrow!
