A few of our thoughtful residents decided to make something refreshing for the entire community—homemade pink lemonade freeze pops! 🍋😋 Their kindness didn’t go unnoticed, as residents and team members alike enjoyed the sweet treat and the sweet gesture behind it.

At Northlake House, we focus on purpose-filled living through the Seven Dimensions of Wellness. By creating something special for others, this group of residents embraced their emotional wellness, sharing joy, care, and connection. They also demonstrated social wellness, strengthening bonds and building community through a simple act of generosity.

In our Wednesday science for seniors class, we made neon sand that stays dry even under water! When coated in hydrophobic oil, the sand repels water, so it never gets wet, even when fully submerged. It was a fun and colorful experiment that amazed everyone! 🧪🌈

Introducing Precious Balogun, BSN, RN!
Precious began her journey with Northlake in May 2023 as a full-time PCA while she pursued her nursing degree at Queens University. Her success as a PCA led her to a promotion to MedTech SIC, and she thrived as a leader in the role. Upon graduating from nursing school, Precious applied for the Resident Care Coordinator position. Because of her accomplishments, hard work, dedication, and love for the residents, she earned the job.
We are excited to welcome Precious into her new management role at Northlake House! If you haven’t had the opportunity to meet her yet, please feel free to introduce yourself.
