Putting the spotlight on Jessica as we share more about our therapists each month! Jessica is currently accepting new clients!

"Hi everyone! I’m Jessica. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate and a Licensed Addiction Specialist Associate. I have been with In the Garden Counseling for one year. I am passionate about helping individuals grow both mentally and spiritually. I specialize in helping individuals navigate a variety of emotional and mental health challenges. Through a combination of practical coping strategies and deep emotional work, I help clients develop resilience, improve their self-awareness, and achieve lasting change.

With a background in religious studies, I work with individuals who want to integrate their religious beliefs and values into their journey, fostering a sense of spiritual growth and strength alongside mental and emotional healing. My approach is empathetic, non-judgmental, and client-centered, tailoring sessions to meet each individual's unique needs.

I also specialize in Addiction. Struggling with addiction can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. I use evidence-based strategies to help individuals regain control of their life. Whether you're dealing with substance abuse, behavioral addictions, or any form of dependency, I can provide a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and growth. Together, we’ll create a treatment plan that works for you, helping you build lasting recovery and a brighter future.

Whether you're dealing with life transitions, seeking personal growth, or overcoming past challenges, my goal is to empower you to find balance and live a fulfilling life.

I’m now accepting new clients, for both individual therapy, along with marriage/ couples therapy. If you're ready to take the next step toward healing, I’m here to walk with you on your journey.

Putting the spotlight on Hannah as we share more about our therapists each month!

"Hi everyone! My name is Hannah and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate and have been with In the Garden Counseling for two years. I have truly been blessed to work with clients of all ages and walks of life, but I am particularly passionate about helping clients overcome difficult life experiences.

After my own therapist utilized EMDR to assist me in reprocessing my past traumatic experiences, I knew that it was something I was passionate about offering to my clients. I have been trained in EMDR for a year and have truly enjoyed working through the phases with clients wanting to expedite their healing process.

What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.
Repeated studies show that by using EMDR therapy people can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference. It is widely assumed that severe emotional pain requires a long time to heal. EMDR therapy shows that the mind can in fact heal from psychological trauma much as the body recovers from physical trauma. When you cut your hand, your body works to close the wound. If a foreign object or repeated injury irritates the wound, it festers and causes pain. Once the block is removed, healing resumes.

EMDR therapy demonstrates that a similar sequence of events occurs with mental processes. The brain’s information processing system naturally moves toward mental health. If the system is blocked or imbalanced by the impact of a disturbing event, the emotional wound festers and can cause intense suffering. Once the block is removed, healing resumes.

Using the detailed protocols and procedures learned in EMDR therapy training sessions, clinicians help clients activate their natural healing processes.

I am currently accepting new clients and I would feel honored to support you through your healing journey!"
