Weighted vests are everywhere right now — and for good reason. They’ve become a popular tool to level up walks, workouts, and daily movement.

But a recent study threw in an important reality check: when it comes to maintaining bone mineral density (BMD) during weight loss, adding a weighted vest didn’t show significant benefits.

Before you toss yours aside, though — context matters.

That doesn’t mean weighted vests are useless. They can still help increase workout intensity, build strength, and make everyday movement more challenging in a simple, practical way.

The takeaway? Tools aren’t magic — but they’re still useful when you use them with the right expectations.

Keep the vest. Just don’t expect it to do everything. 💪
