⭐ Celebrating Volunteer Month ⭐

We have the pleasure of spotlight Taryn, our amazing volunteer in Richmond City. Full-time job as a Sheriff's Deputy, part-time End-of-Life Doula.

A few words from Taryn, "My inspiration to volunteer for Legacy is two-fold: all four of my grandparents were helped by hospices at the end of their lives and I wanted to give back to an organization that does similar amazing work.

I honestly just love to sit with patients and hold hands their hands. They truly love when we visit and it means so much to them. I have also had the opportunity to advocate for a patient and their appreciation and happiness with the outcome confirmed to me that I am where I need to be volunteering in hospice."

This April and all year long, we celebrate Occupational Therapy practitioners and the power of occupational therapy.

Occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants focus on the things you want and need to do in your daily life. Occupational therapy intervention uses everyday life activities (occupations) to promote health, well-being, and your ability to participate in the important activities in your life.

This keeps you able to enjoy quality of life, for as long as possible. A core purpose in hospice care as well. Many thanks to all OTs!
