As some may have noticed, I have had the opportunity to partner with my long-term friends and colleagues, Dr. Anita Neel and Dr. Heba Al Tamimi of Aesthetic Dentistry of Charlottesville.
I am in semi- retirement mode but will be in the office on Wednesday and Thursdays to assist my patients in this transition. You will find Dr. Neel and Dr. Al Tamimi and their staff to be highly qualified professionals, who place your oral health to the highest priority.
While our location has remained the same, faces have changed. All their staff are available to help you transition into our new practice.
I have enjoyed taking care of you and your families over the years and look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Monday-Wednesday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm with alternating weeks from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm
Every Other Thursday from 8 am to 1 pm

-Helen has worked in the Dental world for 24 years as a dental assistant and office manager.
-She loves country living and taking care of her family.
-Cooking and crafting are her hobbies! Everyone here at the office benefits from her hobbies too!
-Helen has been married to her wonderful husband for 51 years! She has a great son and 4 beautiful grandchildren that she adores. Her family and strong faith in God keep her going.

Did you know Dr. Barberio is a pilot?!? Want to learn some more fun facts about Dr. Barberio?

-He is the oldest of 9 children. Over the years when you have been in the office, you may have met some of his siblings!
-Dr. Barberio received his pilot's license at 19 years old.
-Before dental school, he worked as an airline mechanic at a major airline!
-His oldest grandchild is following in his footsteps and becoming a dentist!

Ever stood in the store looking at the wall of toothbrushes and weren't sure which one to buy? Jenny and Jo share some toothbrush facts for you to use as a guide when it is time to pick out your next toothbrush!

-Must have attributes:
Soft-bristled: Soft bristles are gentler on the gums and enamel, and they are just as effective at cleaning teeth as medium or hard bristles.
Small-headed: A small head can reach all areas of the mouth, including the back molars.

-Both manual and electric toothbrushes can be effective if used properly. However, we recommend electric toothbrushes because they can remove more plaque and bacteria than manual toothbrushes and help to prevent aggressive brushing techniques that cause recession of the gum tissue.

-Important Fact:
You need to replace your toothbrush every 3-4 months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed or worn.
